Introduction to group reads

I would like to try two group reads per month: one shadowing the books that the International Fiction Reading Group at the Norfolk and Norwich Millenium Library is reading. I take part in this group and I think their choices are brilliant.
Besides those I will choose one other book. At the beginning I will follow the long list (please scroll to bottom of page to find the list) of this years Independent Foreign Fiction Prize. But it would be great if you would suggest books that you think we should read. Thanks Bee
