I want an unedited version of this fabulous book. I was going to pay the 50th Anniversary paperback edition from Amazon, but was put off after reading that it is edited and contains some typing mistakes. Where can I the BEST, unedited version of this book?

I agree. I think your best bet is an old copy. Used bookstores will likely have copies.

Abebooks.com has many editions of To Kill a Mockingbird, if you don't have any local used bookstores. If you have a local one, I would check there first.

You might want to try ALibris.com as well. It might be Alibris.org or .net. I can't remember, but they have lots of these types of monographs and varied versions of old books.

Be careful and be warned. 1st editions of To Kill A Mockingbird go retail for about $5,000 and up. Signed copies of (any edition of) the book go for anywhere beginning at $3,000 and up. I've been collecting books for many years.

Have you tried some antiquarian bookshops? It might be possible that there are no books available in online shops (I think there actually is a search engine for antiquarian book shops - some of them seem to ship books as well).
