Should civilians be allowed to have access to guns?(Gun control)

Mixed feelings about this..Basically guns are important for self defence but can so easily be misused...

Sure but at the same time certain regulatory measures should be taken to ensure that certain malicious persons don't get their hands on any firearms.

Yeah but as long as guns are available to civilians 'certain malicious persons' will always have access to guns...or it's now possible to build guns at home....So if a lunatic starts firing with his homemade gun and no one else has a gun and people have to wait till the police.....Also women carry guns to protect themselves against rapists and such evil people....

Right, regulations but people should be able to have access to guns if they need it.

I have mixed feelings towards this, but I do think that people should be allowed to have guns it is one of our freedoms after all. However there should be certain restrictions and I think that certain people with bad histories shouldn't be allowed to get them.
