Nicole | 8 comments Hi,

I am new to goodreads and recently joined your group. I just added a ton of books to the bookshelf.
All of the books feature heroines who were the victim of rape(not by hero), attempted rape, verbal abuse, spousal abuse, etc. Hope this helps anyone looking for good books to read.

Hi, Thanks in advance for adding more books. I do have more books I could add, but I will wait until I read them so I know if they are good.

I just got done reading Lumber and Lace. It was good. I like the fragile heroine thing. I'm going to pick another one of your books today. I liked Lumber and Lace and will prob read it again but I need a little more drama in my books. Any suggestions?

Nicole | 8 comments Hi,

Here are some suggestions:

Opera Macabre by Michelle Rodriguez - heroine has been abused by vampires. Very good historical paranormal romance.

Finding Grace by Rhea Rhodan - heroine kidnapped and held by human monsters and abused. Contemporary romance.

His Captive Lady (Devil Riders, #2) by Anne Gracie Tempt the Devil by Anna Campbell A Promise of Love (Zebra Lovegram) by Karen Ranney Pieces of Sky (Blood Rose, #1) by Kaki Warner The Sea King by Jolie Mathis Once Forbidden by Terri Brisbin Maverick Wild (Wild, #2) by Stacey Kayne The Cobra & The Concubine (Khamsin Egyptian #3) by Bonnie Vanak How to Seduce a Bride (Botany Bay, #4) by Edith Layton The Undertaker by Lauryn Hale - all historical romances.

Vengeance Born (The Light Blade, #1) by Kylie Griffin - first in the series. Paranormal romance.

Forbidden Forest (Legends of Regia, #1) by Tenaya Jayne - first in the series. Paranormal romance. I think this is still free on nook and amazon.

Catherine Anderson books: Annie's Song by Catherine Anderson Comanche Moon (Comanche, #1) by Catherine Anderson Baby Love (Kendrick/Coulter/Harrigan, #1) by Catherine Anderson Blue Skies (Kendrick/Coulter/Harrigan, #4) by Catherine Anderson Keegan's Lady (Keegan-Paxton #1) by Catherine Anderson Comanche Heart (Comanche, #2) by Catherine Anderson Star Bright (Kendrick/Coulter/Harrigan #9) by Catherine Anderson Indigo Blue (Comanche, #3) by Catherine Anderson Early Dawn (Keegan-Paxton #4) by Catherine Anderson Seventh Heaven by Catherine Anderson Comanche Magic (Comanche, #4) by Catherine Anderson Cheyenne Amber by Catherine Anderson - she mostly writes about abused heroines.

The KGI series by Maya Banks are filled with suspense, romance, and action: The Darkest Hour (KGI, #1) by Maya Banks No Place to Run (KGI, #2) by Maya Banks Hidden Away (KGI, #3) by Maya Banks Whispers in the Dark (KGI, #4) by Maya Banks Echoes at Dawn (KGI, #5) by Maya Banks Shades of Gray (KGI, #6) by Maya Banks Forged in Steele (KGI, #7) by Maya Banks

Paranormal romance with shifters and an abused heroine who was raped: Masked by Moonlight (Moonlight, #1) by Nancy Gideon Chased by Moonlight (Moonlight, #2) by Nancy Gideon Captured by Moonlight (Moonlight, #3) by Nancy Gideon Bound By Moonlight (Moonlight, #4) by Nancy Gideon

I probably gave you too many choices, but it is hard to pick out only a few.

Nicole
