Zoe Taurus To me it just seemed like Jack said "i'm sorry, dude, I'm sorry, Sorry sorry, Super sorry, Dude sorry dude". I, though I like the book thought that this was an unrealistic rendition of how kids apologize. I felt that august should not accept that apology because it was not sincere at all. But some of the boys in my class say that they thought it was a legit apology. Do you think the boys were just trying to be macho, or did they actually feel that was an okay apology? Tell me what you think, and your opinion of the scene.

Sophia Doyle I THOUGHT THAT PART OF THE BOOK WAS REALLY GOOD. I THOUGHT SOME OF THE CONVERSATION WAS KINDA FUNNY BUT VERY GOOD FOR AUGUST

Ashley I found it to be realistic of today's middle schoolers. With most students having access to cell phones most of their fights and apologies are done via texts. I talked to another teacher who read the book with her eighth graders and she agreed with the realistic natural of the conversation. Girls would be more likely to fight via electronics and make up in person, but middle school boys usually get over misunderstandings like this as quickly and simply as possible.

Calvin Staropoli While the part of the book where Jack apologizes to August over text is a fairly accurate representation of how modern teenagers would go about it. Whoever, I think August shouldn't have accepted that apology because Jack didn't analogize face. A lot of teens today (and I am guilty of this) use text to take care of personal problems. I think that it should not be considered sincere until that person talks to you face to face. Than you'll know if it's real or not.

Gabby I don't even remember that bit, meaning I obviously didn't notice if it was "unrealistic" But I thought this book was really realistic and good.
