Funny, I read this book for school in April. It was probably one of the best books I've ever read.

Yeah, I read it last year I think. It really is a great book. The group chose it, though, so why don't you provide your opinion on it? What were your thoughts about the book?
Was just reading it, have read a few pages, and... and I find myself smiling at the book. If that makes any sense :)The writing is splenedid! :D
Only few books make me feel that way, the others being from Khaled Hosseini :)

I really loved it a lot. The writing is... almost musical, if that makes any sense. Being narrated by Death was very interesting and unique. He tells the story so wonderfully. You can see my full official review here: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
And to the people concerned about the length: Since I read it for school and was not allowed to read ahead so we could have group discussions. To be honest... it was ultimately impossible NOT to read ahead. Trust me, it's long alright, but you will fly through it.
I just finished this book. So glad I read it, even though it makes for unpleasant thoughts....

Yeah, Yeah. I love the book. I like it deeply. Not to the point where I'll fangirl, no. But it was splendid.
I joined this group just in time! I've never read The Book Thief and I'm really looking forward to reading it. So nice to read with a group of people, too.
I have 10% of this book left and for the first time ever, I don't want to finish an excellent book.Normally if a book is good, I suck it down. read while I eat, before I sleep, while I'm sitting in traffic. But this book is so good and it's already sad enough without Death coming to visit two more times and I just...can't...take it!
