Long wait for books in series

I'm learning to hate it when authors have this amazing series going and when it comes time for the final book it's just blah. Take for example the soul screamer series by Rachel Vincent. I loved that series and was so pumped for the final book.... But when it finally came out I felt a little lost since It had been a while since I read the last book. And I'm at chapter 9 and I'm forcing myself to finish it or keep going and maybe it will get better. I also since read the second to last book have bought the kindle fire. I'm learning that I much more like reading off my kindle verse an actual boo. So maybe that's why I'm having issues getting into the book or maybe the long wait to get the final book has turned me off of it, either I'm so bummed. Is this happening to anyone else or I'm just special like that?

I personally enjoyed the last book in the series. I too switched from reading on Kindle Fire to reading the actual books (I figured that this series is so good, it's worth having in my physical library!), however, I've had no problems with the switch.

I think perhaps you were looking for the last book to be different somehow? Maybe you were looking for a big epic battle between our favorite characters and the hellions?

Either way, I think that you should push yourself to finish the book. I think it's a wonderful end to a series that proved itself to be more amazing with each book :) Challenge yourself! I bet you won't regret it :D
