What's your favorite movie based on a book?
Harry Potter, Hunger Games and City of Bones
I'd have to say Dear John, in my opinion, the movie was better than the book inthis instance.
Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, The Host, Lord of the Rings.
From books I've read it would probably be:1. The Hunger Games (I'm hoping Catching Fire will be as good or better :) )
2. The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones (my most recent favourite)
3. The Host
4. Beautiful Creatures
5. Dear John
Above all, The Princess Bride, then the Harry Potter series as a close second, only cause the Harry Potter movies left out a lot of minor details that I would have love to see.
Lord of the Rings, A Walk to Remember, The Hunger Games, The Princess Bride, Harry Potter, Les Miserables, The Notebook (movie better than book in my opinion)
Yeah, I think the Hunger games had really good casting...except for certain people, and it followed the book pretty closely, except for the part about Peeta's leg

I really enjoyed the Hunger Games! The Mortal Instruments turned out a lot better than expected. But my favorite book-turned-movie is Holes. I had to read that book in my fifth grade class and I really couldn't get into it then (also, hated reading at the time), but the movie helped me. I enjoy it to this day. I really like Zero :)
and i'm looking forward to catching fire !!!
I cannot wait for The book Thief to officially come to theatres I've been dying to see it since I saw the preview last month! Great book and it'll be a great movie too!!!
Ooooh, tough question! I have a few movies I like a lot: runbinrot, percy jackson - the sea of monsters, Harry potter, the host... But, City of bones and The Hunger Games made me soooooo bored in the cinema that I couldn't say that I really liked :| AND OF COURSE: PRIDE AND PREJUDICE <3

The Hunger Games! I think they did an amazing job with the plot and the actors.
The Hunger Games movie was amazing! Hopefully Catching Fire will be just as good. I think The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones movie was pretty good too. I haven't watched The Host yet, but I want too! And I can't wait for Divergent and The Book Thief! (:

I see MI trailers on TV a lot this week. Haven't read those yet (new to YA and goodreads) but hear good things about the series. May have to bump up in the to-read order in case I want to catch it while still in theatres? If y'all have read the book, feel free to give input/feedback...good day to you all!!
