Good choice. Cusack was excellent in 1408, another King story.
Tod Williams is unknown to me as well.
Looking forward to seeing this.

Tod Williams directed Paranormal Activity 2.
Cusack was brilliant in Identity.

I really loved Cell. I know a lot of people thought it slowed down too much after the intense beginnning; but personally I enjoyed where King took the story. It isn't his best work, but it is overall a fun read and I absolutely LOVE the ending! :)

I really enjoyed the book Cell and am excited for the movie. However, I'm not a big John Cusack fan. He's okay but I pictured someone a little more rough around the edges.

I remember when reading Cell, that I thought it would be an easy movie adaptation - or at least easier than a lot of other King stories.
Hadn't really thought of John Cusack in that regard, but considering it now, I actually think he's a great fit.
I don't really have any knowledge of Tod Williams, so won't comment on him as director.
Shooting starts in September, so hopefully we can see it in (summer?) 2014.
