In India, Each state speaks different language. South doesn't understand North, east doesn't understand west. Hindi is national language, but ironically many states have no hindi speakers neither is it a language which could work across whole of the country. And much more ironically, English unites communicating in India more than any other language..

Living in the US, Spanish has its uses. (I know like three words omg)

Worldwide, I think everyone should learn Mandarin and English because China is going to be a superpower, like the uS.

T.J. English and Spanish. I know English! Now for Spanish...I hear Chinese, too.

I should rephrase.

China is going to be the giant world-dominating superpower very soon.

Faye (asdfayeiouvwxyz) | 269 comments Mandarin, English, French, Latin and Spanish for me. There are lots of Chinese, and English-speaking people. I think French is necessary because I like to visit France. Spanish is on the list because I've been thinking about their version of the history. Then...Latin...because it's ancient

Elaney I think it depends on the person. For me, Korean is probably the most important because I have family there. after that, I suppose it would be Mandarin.

Nicole (turwaithielgreenleaf) | 17 comments Here in England we speak primarily in English. At my school, French is the second language and everyone had to take that up until our GCSE's where languages are not compulsory. The 2nd group learnt Spanish as well as French and I am in the top group where we don't learn Spanish, but learn German instead. I am taking German next year for my GCSE's, and I think this is gonna be helpful for me because half of my family is German.

My school wanted us to try and do a language for GCSE I made the mistake of in the end doing two. French and Spanish it was useful, but I would never recommend it to anyone, it gets to complicated and I kept on jumbling the languages.

I would say learning Spanish was more useful, it was also easier.
