Wrong Author Name

When I submitted to get an author page it was set up with the author name "T.D. Bauer". But it should have been setup as just "TD Bauer". There are books out there on your list that I cannot link to my Author page, as they are linked to TD Bauer. TD Bauer and T.D. Bauer are one in the same, but I have never used T.D. Bauer on anything ever...not sure how that happened here, but I can't make that edit to TD Bauer myself on my author page.

Please help! Need my author page to reflect name as TD Bauer and then I need my two books linked to that Author page (A RONIN'S Honor and A WHISPER IN THE DARK).

Hello TD,

There are strict rules for the author names on GR webpage (unless using a pen name). The profile that should not exist is TD Bauer.

You can see the books on your profile now.

What has the Librarian manual have to say about initials.

Edit: What is the series name for A Whisper in the Dark?
Also as author you can upload excerpts for your books on GR. (Or even the whole book if it is free)

Yep, "TD Bauer" is my pen name, and is what I use on all my articles, my books, twitter, facebook, etc...

I think the confusion comes from this: before I was a member here and even had a profile somebody added one of my books. I went to claim it by starting an author page and and somehow the author page was set up as "T.D. Bauer". Yet the books were listed here and as authored by TD Bauer, which is correct. The librarian who setup my author page must have thought I was ANOTHER td bauer, and entered my name as T.D. Bauer.

***I've noticed when doing an author search on Goodreads when typing in TD BAUER the only book that shows up is A WHISPER IN THE DARK. When I type in T.D. Bauer the only title that shows up is A RONIN'S HONOR.

The search issue must be a hashing problem. Searching with the initials shows me both books. The database needs some time to update the info.

For the profile you will have to consult yourself with the Superlibrarians. I do not know what is done in those cases and only they can change your name. You can do that in this topic:

As per Goodreads policy (see http://www.goodreads.com/help/show/60...), you name will be listed as T.D. Bauer on your author profile page and all book pages.
