What Are you Reading?
My reading plans this weekend went completely off track...but i enjoyed the spontaneous reads, alternating between Terry Pratchett's A Slip of the Keyboard: Collected Non-Fiction and Danni Keane's short stories.Danni Keane - i read a while ago The Lord of Twink's Bottom which was great fun, and from this weekend's reading, i recommend Right Hand Red, which is a feel-good story if there ever was one, maybe it was my mood, but i found it just perfect.
The Terry Pratchett is very good so far, wonderful intro by Neil Gaiman, and then the first "stories" are about writing, how he got started, how he feels about the process, going to conventions and readings, quite interesting and funny too.

The thing about forgetting the details in books is that you can re-read murder mysteries and try to work out who the bad guys are again.

I finished A Matter of When by Eden Winters. Not often that an opera singer is a lead character... though he's the love interest not the POV character, who was a rock star.

Not extensively but Henri loved The Hunger Games and Seb was reading Hitchhiker's Guide. Henri bought Seb a reader with some SF on it including The Hunger Games.
I really enjoyed The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion. I read it because of my book club and I might not have otherwise, but I'm glad I did. It's a light, entertaining (male-female) love story, good for when you want something upbeat and easy and sweet. I really liked that it's a m/f romance where the narrator/first-person POV character is the male, since that's less common. I have a definite fondness for smart, socially awkward, slightly anxious characters and I totally dug this guy. Fun book.
Ooh, Ginn Hale's Champion of the Scarlet Wolf Book One arrived in the night! The October of many exciting books begins with a bang! :)
And on my Kindle I found Another Place In Time this morning.And soon, we all know which one will also get there :)
I am travelling to New York City on Sunday. With my Kindle loaded with good books, the flight will pass very quickly and enjoyable I believe :)

It's on mine too. KJ Charles wrote on her fb page that hers is the filthiest story of the anthology. I must resist the temptation to read that one first.

I've been reading Books 1 & 2 in the Gives Light series. I'm enjoying them so far and I've got Book 3 lined up on my kindle.
I've also been reading the Henry Rios mysteries. I love Henry, he's so unapologetic. This is a series that I expect I'll be finishing in paperback because with the exception of Book 1, the ebooks are all around the £7 mark. It also gives me the excuse of rummaging about in second-hand bookshops :D

I hope that you will write about your impression ( TBWTPT and NYC ) I love to travel and I love to read about it.
How long will you stay there?
I'm going just because I can :), my son has moved back to Oslo. I also go to support my oldest friend who has several paintings at an exhibition there. She is Norwegian and a lawyer too, but has been painting for the last ten years or so. Somehow she has managed to be invited to show her paintings at a gallery there. I'm so proud of her for following her dream.I will certainly tell you about it (I'm really not able not to!), and maybe even manage a picture of TBWTPT travelling with me ;)
I'm staying for five days. We plan on hitting as many galleries and museums we can manage. Yes, and bookstores. :)

For some reason, I thought book two came out at the same time, but I guess not. I do love pre-orders! The new books, they just appear! Magical.

So many good books just released or releasing soon - my TBR grows and grows and I can't seem to read fast enough. ;-)I've been trying to get over a bad cold. I took half a day off work yesterday to rest and managed to listen to a good bit of All She Wrote which I hope to finish before the weekend.
I also just finished Fever Pitch tonight and am starting rock by Anyta Sunday.
How did you like Fever Pitch? It should be next up in the queue for me.

I really enjoyed the music aspect as well - orchestra, choir, a cappella. I don't read a ton of New Adult but I really like this series. Wish I didn't have to wait so long for the next one.

Yes, do tell! I have found a few NZ m/m authors (she was born here, but moved away) and I'd like to try them.
I am a little over half way through and really enjoying rock so far. Like some of the reviews point out, I would also say it is more of a YA/NA/coming of age story than a romance, and possibly a bit taboo (but not totally sure yet - I'll have to see how it works out). I have a feeling I am getting to the heart-breaking part. ;-) Lovely writing. I have a few more of her books on my kindle that I still need to read.

I forgot to mention, it does take place in NZ - mostly Wellington, I believe. They also take some camping, hiking, and rafting trips to various places.

For me and my personal tastes, I gave it 4 stars. I really liked it, it's a wonderful book, but I admit I'm pretty stingy with the 5 star ratings. 5 stars are usually reserved for my absolute favorite books, ones that I know I will reread ASAP. :-)

and it's fantastically intense. The most personal of the series so far.

has a release date (updated from the GR listing) of mid-January. I've pre-ordered. I love, love, love the audiobook narrrator's voice(s)! (I may have already said this a few times...)

Is the audiobook "Rivers of London" the same like "Midnight Riot"? #1 in the Peter Grant series?
I listened to the sample and, yes, the narrator's voice is wonderful. :-)

I bought the first audiobook during a recent sale. I did like the narrator's voice, but I just haven't been in the mood for UF lately.
