Dee I am on 14/26. I may have set my goal too low and may up it to 30. I have a busy year still so my reading may slow down.

message 102: by Rene (new)

Rene (rlh77) I am going to set my goal at 30 books by August!!!! I have already read 5 out of the 30!!! I am also signing up for my libraries book club this summer!!

message 109: by Trinity (new)

Trinity (tsundokuproblem) My goal is 50 books and I'm ahead by 2 books. I started late and I had a big disadvantage since I had school: exams and finals. :( I've caught up though and since I'm participating in the June/July challenge on Goodreads, I think I'll be able to definitely meet my goal. Good lucky to you all! Wish me luck *fingers crossed*

You can make it! I'm only ahead of schedule by 2 books while everyone else is ahead by at least 15! :/ You're doing really good :)

Arwen 74/100 so far

message 121: by Maddie (new)

Maddie (shoegirl81) I originally had mine set at 24, but then decided to up it to 35 (which means I am now slightly behind schedule). I just felt like a bit of an underachiever with such a low goal and so much time on my hands!

message 122: by Laura (new)

Laura | 168 comments don't think of it as a competition just go at your own pace :-)

message 123: by Laura (new)

Laura I set my original goal to 50 books but realized that I was going to pass that so upped it to 100. I am at 61/100. I will likely increase it again.

message 124: by Zoe (new)

Zoe (zo-ereader) | 7 comments Hi! I'm Zoe. I'm 17! My goal is 100 books but i've only read 12 this year because school has been so so hectic ): but hopefully over the summer i'll be able to complete my goal!

message 125: by Yesenia (new)

Yesenia Maqueda (annechase) | 140 comments I set it to 50, too, and I am almost done!!!! I only need 3 more to finish it!

Eldarwen | 5004 comments Yesenia`maqueda wrote: "Thanks!! I live to read, and I read to live!"

Before this challenge to keep track of how many books I read, I've never actually realised just how much I read lol. It's crazy!

But definitely, a good motto to go by, Yesenia! Like my mum said today as well: "I couldn't be without books." So, so true! Where would we be without our beloved books? :-)

message 129: by Yesenia (new)

Yesenia Maqueda (annechase) | 140 comments To Eldarwen:
That is exactly what it think every day!! My whole family is annoyed that I read so much, but I don't care!! I love reading, and I tell my parents "you say I have to do what I love, so why do you keep bothering me about reading?!?!?!"

message 130: by Julie (new)

Julie (spiritwitch120) I've set mine to 200 but I've only really just started this month due to exams so I'm behind. I'll catch up though .... do re-reads count? Because I'm mainly doing that since a lot of the books I've read are turning into films so I'm just reminding myself of the plots and whatnot. If I reach my goal before winter (which I hope I can do) I'll raise it to 300.

message 131: by Will (new)

Will L set my goal to 100 and l have read 49!!!!

message 132: by Kat (new)

Kat | 84 comments I am completely overwhelmed by all of your responses so far :) In the best way possible.
Our cummulative goal to date is approximately 6400 books!
I am so proud of all of you for doing this challenge. And rememeber, don't compete against us (unless that helps you) but instead challenge yourself to reach your goal. It will be more satisfying if you do.

A couple of definining points: Re-reading counts only if you want it to. I personally have elected to read only new books to count towards this challenge, but any way that gets you to read as many book as possible is fine by me!

Please continue to leave standout books for everyone to look into. A couple of mine include:
A Discovery of Witches
Eighth Grade Bites
The Dead Path
The Mark of Athena
River Marked

I am a big supporter in embracing the inner book nerd. Books can take you to a magical place, like hiking or traveling, or playing sports can for other people. Enjoy it!

message 134: by [deleted user] (new)

20/50 I'm on track finally, I've been trying to do all new books for the challenge. My only re-read so far has been The Great Gatsby.

message 135: by Andrea (new)

Andrea My current goal is set to 150. Its a bit higher than I might be able to achieve, so it might have to come down. I would be better off if I remembered to update the books I finish!

LordOfTheReads | 2 comments 1103 books is some achievement! There should be community awards to those who read over a thousand books like some sort of 'key to the library' or something of the nature!

If you could though, FB page for book worms >> https://www.facebook.com/TheNovelRevi...

I use to read much more but now i'm reading in english, which takes up more time. I think I can do it tho, I'm gonna read a lot during summer as always :)

Help?

message 150: by Brit (new)

Brit (britmeup) As long as the books are in your read shelf, and are set that you read them in 2013, they should automatically appear on the widget.
