Hi, Everyone! My name is Cherry and I have been writing stories and poetry since I was 6 years old. I love books and I love words! My first novel was published in 2009 and I am excited to have found this group!
Hi Everyone! My name is F.X. Scully. I'm a debut author (11/30!) who is new to the group and new to Goodreads. I look forward to connecting!

Hi Jackie! Thanks :)
Hello to you all! I have just joined you and thank you for the opportunity to be part of your group. I write erotic and I am always happy to review books. If you want your MS line edited, I am happy to do that in return for a review of one of my own books. I have 3! I have a blog where I am happy to post erotica authors links to their sites or books sites. My blog is here, take a look and see if you'd like to add your link to it. http://rubik101.blog.com/
Hi everyone! I'm Amber and have been writing for I think a year and a half. It seems like a lot longer than that, probably because it seems characters have overtaken my life. Sometimes we live peacefully, others not so much. So far I have ten works that I've published on Amazon and through multiple channels via Smashwords. I also have five books that I have on wattpad that I haven't turned into published works, mainly because the other evil characters in my mind have been keeping me too busy.
As you can probably tell, I'm just a little strange, and if you couldn't tell rest assured that I am, but I've learned that keeps life interesting. You'll also find that I ramble a lot. I'm a shy person in real life and tend to make up for that by typing non-stop about nonsensical stuff.
I hope to connect with other authors and readers as much as possible and this group looks like a fun place to try.
Hi everybody! I'm Sandra and I'm an author from Germany, but I have been writing for the US market for the past 13 years (because I couldn't find a German publisher). My debut novel was published in 2005 by Dorchester (aka the publishing house which stopped paying everybody in 2010 - yes, that was a lot of fun) (not!!!). In the past few years I had to take a break from writing to focus on my day job. This summer, however, I have returned to my fictional worlds and have started to re-release my older novels as well as self-publish new ones. I'm still trying to get the hang of this brave new world of publishing - so much has changed since 2008!
Thanks for letting me be part of this group!
Cheers,
Sandra
Hi! I'm Lan- just discovered Goodreads and I can't wait to explore all the different groups and books! I'm a new writer- picked it up a little over a year ago and have been obsessing over it since then:) My book, "Beginning with Forever' is completed and going through the editing phase before I publish it. I'm a nervous ball of anxiety-hoping readers will enjoy it as much as I do.
Hi Lan,
Welcome to the group. We are pretty much in the same situation, except I published my books (2 of the series of 3) without professional editing. I just can't afford it. Hope you get great results from this group. What is your book about?
Marisa

Hi Marisa,My editor is not a professional book editor. He edits law works, so I think he'll have a fun time editing my romance book:) I can't afford a really expensive one either, but he'll do an amazing job. How did you learn the publishing part? (Platforms and legalities of it) It's a billionaire romance, but it doesn't focus on that...it's a love story of two people who would've never met until the power of fate brought them together in another country.
my FB page has a link to Wattpad for my first 4 chapters if you're curious about it;)

Thanks for the welcome:)
Hi Lan,
I don't know much. I used LuLu at first and now I'm using CreateSpace. As far as I know they take care of all the legalities. I'm still learning as I go. Oh I also used SmashWords.
Cool, I'll check it out. Thanks for the link.

Marissa,Do you just download the programs and upload your book to them? Who did your formatting for you?
Do you have a FB page? Leave me a link :)
Lan
LanLP. The formatting for Smashwords and CreateSpace is not beyond most people's capabilities. Even I managed it and I am a complete numpty when it comes to most things like that. It requires patience and you need to follow the steps 100%, no shortcuts. Have you already tried to upload them? If so, what messages did you get back from them? I'd be happy to take a quick look and tell you if there are any obvious problems. If you want me to format them for you then we can come to some arrangement. Good luck.
Robin- thanks for the offer. I haven't attempted uploading my book yet because it's going to be sent to the editor, but when I do and I run into any issues, I'll look you up.Lan

Hi Robin,
Thanks! Unfortunately I can't trade reviews right now (I'm snowed under with commitments - barely managing to cram some sleep in!). But if you still want to read "Absolution", shoot me a message and let me know what format you need (I'm only on GR once a day).
Thanks so much :)

Thank you so much for starting this group. I just did a "soft launch" of my new book. You can see it at www.facebook.com/flyinginthefaceofgra... I am passionate about my message, and I am on a mission to help people. I am soliciting honest, objective feedback. Any advice on getting in front of honest readers?

How do I get them in people's hands? Looking for honest feedback on a book I am passionate about. I have free electronic copies for anyone who will read and give feedback... Takers? :-)
Hi! Just joined the group. I love reading and reading, and I LOVE writing (for better or worse). I post reviews primarily on my initial count (lolawantz). I've been joining groups and checking out more of the Goodreads community since completing my first self-published e-book last September. Looking foward to reading lots of tasty things.
Hi everyone! My name is Justin, I recently self-published my first fantasy novel, and I'm having a blast connecting with everyone in the writing community. Best wishes to everyone!
Hello! Just getting used to Goodreads and poking around the groups. Thought this one looked interesting :)
Hi! I'm Angie and I recently self-published my suspense novel that I would love to get some reviews for.I also do reviews for other authors (I only have 2 on my list right now, so it's a good time to submit your book to me). I prefer suspense, thriller, horror, mystery, romantic suspense... but I'm always open to trying other genres. If there's a book someone needs reviewed, I usually ask for the first two chapters upfront (or a link to an excerpt) to make sure it's something I'm interested in...just so I don't leave a negative review just because the subject material isn't for me. :)
Hi everyone,I'm a self-published author of an erotic thriller called The Blink of Her Eye.
The Blink of Her Eye. It will entice you, excite you and leave you asking for more. A must read for those seeking the perfect blend of eroticism, romance and mystery. It is listed as a giveaway and I am always seeking reviewers. Please feel free to email me and I will gladly chat about WNY, compliance officers, PTSD, medical errors and our returning soldiers, all of which play a role in the book.
Welcome Angelica,
Your book sounds interesting. I'd like to give it a read. Sign it up for a review in the R&R Sign Up if you haven't already. :)
