June means Summer is here...and so is another Toppler!

thanks for the pic, Almeta! ; )

We were visiting my great grandmother in Ketchum, Idaho one summer, when I was 6, and they had a big statue of STB in a truck in the 4th of July parade. I was so excited to see him! I fell off of the bumper of my Dad's car and skinned my knee. By the time we got home to our house in So. California, I had a huge abcess and had to go to the doctor. I can still remember telling the doctor what happened to my knee because I saw Smokey the Bear!!!!

Great childhood memory. Do you have a scar?☺

lol Geez, Didn't think of that!
Don't look, Cherie! Here pay attention to this! :D

I think that covers most of us. Sorry if I left you off the list.

Thanks for the clarification, Rusalka, I would not have known that.

Otherwise it's backwards. But if you make a map in those two weeks... or you just don't think about it (which is probably more likely).
However, that is only 6 of the states and territories in Aus. Queensland and Western Aus don't have daylight savings. They think it confuses the cows. So in Aus in summer the east coast spilts into having 2 different time zones from 1, and WA is 3 hours not 2 behind us (which is never good to forget when you call them at 9am your time).
I think the cows are the only ones who aren't confused, as they carry on being cows from when the sun comes up to when it goes down. And they don't care when.

... that sounds like I'm implying that the cows aren't cows at night time..."
That's probably because you tip them at night! :P

Rusalka - it's quite nice of you to provide amusement for us on a Monday morning. LOL

"
NOW, that is a hunk of a bear!!! LOL!!!

That's him!!!! I love it!!!! He looks just like I remebered!!!! LOL.
Yes - I still have a scar although it kind of blends in with all of the others I got growing up. I was quite the tomboy.

lol Didn't think of that!

Oh, thank you for the song too. Wasn't Eddie Arnold the best!?

OMG! I'm sitting here killing myself laughing and trying to explain to my parents the whole tipping the cows thing and why this thread is so funny to me. Maybe the explanation was garbled with the laugher.
*wipes tears*

Please add my name to the list- I've been sorted by the fruit machine to Camp Jingalo.

Woooo Hoo! Welcome to Camp Jingalo!

They're at it again!"
Those damn tippy cows, looking at clouds from both sides now. I am udderly amazed!

Groan.☻
The trouble with the "push the big cow while standing on the ground" approach is that only a small fraction of your effort if along the line of force F(A). It would be better to lasso the cow's head/horns and put the rope around a tree or similar such that you're applying force above the centre of gravity, F(W)and in a more horizontal direction. A larger proportion of the effort is then along F(A) meaning that it is easier to move F(W) to the tipping point, above F(N).
team Happy, we need:
rope (long)
handy tree/pole or similar
someone skilled in the art of lassoing a giant cow.
Over to you team. I'll co-ordinate from the sidelines at a safe distance somewhere the opposite side of the cow from the direction of likely topple...
