Debra Edwards | 32 comments Can anyone help or show me a way of getting more reviews for my books? Are there sites that do this too?
Grateful for any ideas. Thank you.

Michael Cargill (michaelcargill) | 2992 comments There are several groups with 'read and review' schemes setup. You give out free copies in exchange for reviews. There will be a waiting list though.

Shut and Read
Basically Books
The Nexus
Making Connections

And I advise against rating your own book!

She's been active on Twitter for a while and has built up a following of 2500+. More popular than the real me in fact! (FlyingAunt). Twitter followers have been only too pleased to write reviews.

I had some success getting initial reviews by sending out review copies of my books to bloggers who read in my genre and who had positively reviewed books similar to mine. It takes some time and effort reading book blogs to find ones that are suitable and that also take submissions from indies, but it is time well spent.

Alan Hardy | 75 comments As you get to know other writers (through GR, FB, Twitter, various groups or whatever) offer a swap of buys + reviews. That way you end up being reviewed + reviewing cross-genre, and avoiding that thing about Amazon not liking authors in the same genre reviewing each other's work.

Debra Edwards | 32 comments Thank you so much for all the suggestions. I need to set aside some time for all this, I think!
