My favorite series is The Chronicles of Narnia, which I read as an adult. I love to read books in a series so there were actually a few to choose from.

YES! Fabulous choice! I may choose this series as well.

Oh I forgot about the James Herriot series. I really loved that one.

The Bradecote and Catchpoll series by Sarah Hawkswood, starting with Ordeal by Fire, later called Servant of Death.

Yes to both of these, especially All Creatures Great and Small. I started reading these when I was in junior high. I still love them.

A bit of a Dan Brown chase around the world through various time zones, but better. Frighteningly apposite to today's Covid 19 pandemic.
Mary Stewart's Merlin series Mary Stewart King Arthur 5 Books Collection Set Magical Merlin The Crystal Cave. It is so NOT a fantasy series. Merlin comes alive as a man.
