Cora's jaw nearly dropped to the ground as she looked from Eth to the fainted boy. "Th-that was just a fluke!"

"Once is a fluke; twice is supposedly a coincidence, but I don't believe in those." Eth folded her arms over her chest with a grin.
Finally giving in, Cora acknowledged her disbelief. "He fainted. He actually fainted."
Cora, still immersed in disbelief, repeated herself. "I can't be he actually fainted."
"Are you making fun of me?" Cora's lips pulled into a small smile.
((Eth was born in El'orei but ended up in Ayni'l during the separation, so she lives there now. I am doing a Prince from El'orei though.))"Why, never." Eth mock-gasped.
((I should go soon.))
Shoving Eth playfully, Cora paused to ask a question. "So, are we going to stand here all day like weirdos or are we actually going to go somewhere?"
Shoving Eth playfully, Cora paused to ask a question. "So, are we going to stand here all day like weirdos or are we actually going to go somewhere?"
((Okie-doke.))"I actually need to get going soon." Eth reponded mournfully, genuine sadness in her eyes. "I need to finish your dress and your sisters' and the vests and trousers for your brothers."
"Oh." Cora took up a saddened expression, looking at Eth hopefully. "Come back soon then?"
"Of course! I may even be able to sneak you out tonight. Or just sneak in." Eth wrapped her arms around Cora and gave her an affectionate squeeze
Cora grinned, teasing. "That's why I love you."
Cora wagged her pointer finger back and forth in a scolding manner. "No, no. Eth, you should know better."
"A wounded gasp and hither I leave thee, for thy denial of mine beauty is far too much to bear in thy company." With a flourish and a neat bow, Eth disappeared back into the surrounding greenery, laughter ringing out behind her.
Chuckling slightly, Cora realized she did not want to be alone yet. The solitude that wasn't really complete solitude was unbearable at times. Thinking of a great idea, she decided to go off and find Neliet, her opifice friend. Before she left she used her ability to once again become Caelwyn.
A tiny elf child peeked her head through the shrubbery, staring at the woman who wasn't her mother. She said nothing, but stared from the shadows thinking that she was unlikely to be noticed.
Mel just ignores the girl and continues to walk. She keeps her head down and tries to avoid everyone.
Aurora glanced around the courtyard trying to familiarize herself with the new surroundings. As an Alvar, she was expected to know all of the secured gateways, weakened spots along the outer wall and every exit strategy in case of an emergency. The wind played with her thin hair, causing it to dance annoyingly before her over-sized lavender eyes. She grunted, pushing several silken strands behind her typical pointed ear... for it to simply fall back into place across her face.
Today of course was her first day... and she stood a little too straight to look natural; her steps were unsure and awkward and her practiced neutral face constantly morphed into confusion as she tried to recite most of the teachings from her training.
"There are three weakened spots along the East wall... or... was it the North wall?" Her shoulders slum under the thickness of her armor and she makes yet another mental note to review that information when her shift is over.
From her chaotic thoughts, Aurora hadn't realized she had wandered off her designated path. Panicking, she cuts through some bushes to get back before anyone noticed... when she nearly crashes right into Melly.
"Whoa! Oh my goodness, are you ok?" The new warrior asked the young girl, bending to see if she needed any help to back on her feet.
