Ida | 8 comments Hey! I am new here and not a native english speaker. However, i am trying to master this language both in speaking and writing through reading classics and discussing with peer readers here. I understand that most people don't have time or patience discussing with someone like me, so i am posting this to find anyone who can study with me together.

Just post your responses to a book one of the groups is reading. Take as an example PRIDE AND PREJUDICE, or any one of Jane Austen novels. Read it at the group pace, responding to the group and posting your own impressions. Soon you will find you are both improving your mastery of the language and making GoodRead friends and achieving other goals you may have. Parenthetically word order is important and therefore you will acquire sensitivity to the way English is written and spoken. Often not the same.
Obviously you are welcome and as you contribute, you will reach the goals you set and enrich your fellow members with your unique posts.

Susan Oleksiw | 119 comments I echo Tom's comments. You're very welcome here, Ida. Just post your comments in response to what you're reading, and enjoy the comments of others. The goal for me is to hear other view points and enjoy the literature. I look forward to yours.

Chahrazad | 43 comments welcome to the group Ida. English isn't my native language either, and I find the advice Tom and Susan gave to be extremely useful. the more you read in English the more you'll become attuned to grammatical structures and how the language functions! enjoy the reading experience and let us hear your thoughts! :)
