Stellie (misssa) | 4 comments A patron is looking for a book. It is a fiction novel with what she believes is a date as the title 1402, 1407 140something...- supposedly about how a law comes into effect?

She was mulling over it perhaps being about slavery, but I'm not certain.

I had suggested Bernard Cornwell's 1356, but that's not it.

I apologize for not having much to go on, but any lead would help.

1491: New Revelations of the Americas Before Columbus and 1492: The Year the World Began refer to changes around the world during the time of Columbus. But they're non-fiction books.

Antonomasia 1408 - Stephen King
1215: The Year of Magna Carta - quite close to being about a law, but non fic
Ashen Cults: AD 1215

Lists of books with years as the title:

Also, I wonder if it's really a date.
Remembering 1222 which refers to a height above sea level. Maybe it was a statute number?

Thank you for the suggestions.

Lou Rocama | 457 comments Have a look at this list of titles with dates in them. There's a fair bit of fiction in it, though more non-fic.

SparksofEmber | 957 comments Mellissa, are you still looking for this or has the patron moved on?

message 7: by Stellie (new)

Stellie (misssa) | 4 comments Still searching unfortunately. : (
It's kinda on my back burner. I squirrel away number titled books as I find them.

Kris (stiner) | 18 comments I immediately thought of Eric Flint's scifi series, but they're 1632 and 1633, not 1432, as I had thought.

Michele | 2488 comments Does your patron have a rough idea of when the book was set -- medieval times, Victorian, ancient Rome?
