Why do you think this is a good book/series. Post below! My reasons are that Artemis rocks, Holly = awesome, and that I love this kind of books!

The thing that really drew me to reading these books was the way Artemis always outwits his enemies. No matter what happens, you can be sure he'll find away around the problem.

Artemis is just such a genius, witty character. Also, it includes fairies who aren't pretty little things flying around sparkling...pretty good reasons...

I feel what makes this a good book is the characters. This is because the author has chosen the personalities of the characters very well. For instance, my favorite character in the book is Artemis Fowl. The reason I chose him as my favorite character is because he is quite smart and also because he is usually two steps ahead from anyone else and also because when somebody insults him, he can quickly counter the insult. Another reason is because he can sometimes be caring towards other. For example, when he everybody said that his dad was missing, he still tried his best to continue to try and find him. Also, the manner in which the characters talk in the book are quite interesting. For example, Artemis always has a very intelligent or cocky answer whenever answering a question or Butler the butler never shouts and usually talks in a low and respectful manner mostly towards Artemis.

THere's a code at the bottom of every page.

It's hilarious.

The visual imagery is compelling, the character composition is complex and dynamic, the clash of reality and traditional mythology reimagined, the world picture is complete with histories that influence the actions of characters, and that plus a bit of scatological humor makes for a damn good book.

It is relaxing and fun to read, and doesn't make me cry, like some books do. It doesn't make me laugh, but it can still make me chuckle, and that's a good thing. It makes me captivated but doesn't make me miss an appointment.

It's good.
