Hi! My name is Trent, and I have bachelor's in history and English and am working towards my Master's in Secondary Education (grades 7-12). Obviously I love history; my favorite era is the 1960's. I am really excited to take part in some of the discussions in this group! Thanks for having me!
Welcome, Linda. I wish you luck in getting a job. I hope reading will ease your mind as you go through the full-time job of finding a job. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the "add book/author" feature when you are ready to cite a book. (There is a link on the top right of the reply box.) It makes things so much easier for people to see your book recommendations, because they can see the cover and the links to the author. And it helps the Goodreads software connect books with groups that talk about them. When citing a book and/or author, please put the book cover, author's photo and author's link at the very bottom of the post after your text. Because it is on the bottom, it calls the reader's attention to the book/author and increases the readability of your posts.

Hello Everyone. My name is Liz. I am a historian who studies early America. My passion is for the period between 175 0 and 1830. I love to read and write about the American Revolution and the War for Independence. Many of the history books I read relate to my research and writing interests. However, every once in a while I will read a book about a completely unrelated time and topic.
I look forward to participating in this group and reading about the history books its members like and recommend.

Hello. My name is Henry. I was born in Paraguay but moved to Canada when I was in the third grade. I have always been interested in Latin American history but lately I have become fascinated with American history. I have a history degree but my university did not have many options for American history. I joined this group to become more aware of current history books and debates within historiography. Also, this seems like a great group for people who may have questions about a particular topic
Greetings fellow history enthusiast. My name is Terry B. I am a 60 year old consulting (civil)engineer living in Michigan - USA. My principal history interest is U.S. military history. My love of history began in 1982 when I visited the Gettysburg battlefields for the first time. I started reading about that critical time that shaped our nation and have continued until today. My interest expanded into WWI & WWII during the late 1990's while researching my family tree. This interest has grown into my desire to read and research about all of the major conflicts that our nation and troops have fought in to preserve our freedom. I am a genuine fan of Abraham Lincoln. I am always amazed how the men and women of this nation have made extreme sacrifices for all generations. I started a blog about a year ago primarily in an effort to share what I have learned with my family. I am looking forward to being part of this group.
Hello. My name is Holly. I'm a resident of the beautiful state of California and am currently attaining a bachelors degree in history with a minor in politics. History has always been a passion of mine and I love studying United States and European history. I really love European theater in WWII, U.S. Presidents/political history, English Monarchs, and basically everything involving the United States and Great Britain. I simply cannot get enough of history and I am really looking forward to my involvement in this group. Thanks
I'm Mal and I have a fondness for history both fiction and nonfiction. I am excited to be part of this group. I look forward to participating in the discussions and making friends along the way. For more info on me, view my profile if you are interested. Looking forward to interacting with all of you.
Hello! I'm Meera, and I really enjoy learning history in school, particularly about the World Wars, so I have begun by reading about Anne Frank and would love it if you can suggest me more such books about World War experiences.Thank you!
Hey,My names are Tom Okenye Otero.Kenyan by nationality.Am an auditor by profession and writing is my passion.I like history because it tells us what we were, what we are to help us decide what we want to be.
Looking forward to a more constructive engagement with the group.
Thanks.
I must apologize, I thought that I had already introduced myself. I am a trained dramaturg/playwright/theatre historian and an amateur military historian. I am currently researching the role of Francophone African troops in key battles from the Napoleonic era to the modern era. Thank you for having me.
Hello! My name is Becky and I'm currently living and working in Ghana. My academic studies have been in international politics and cultural studies (with a focus on central Africa), working towards an eventual Master's in Geography. History's very much an interest because of how relevant it is to my work and studies, but it's also just a fascinating narrative in general.
I'm looking forward to great reads and recommendations!
Welcome William, Sarah, George, Henry, Terry, Holly, Mal, and Meera.I'm glad you decided to join us and I hope you find things that interest and inspire you.

My name is Steven Hardesty and I'm very happy to find such a congenial group to talk history. I'm a retired diplomat, ex-soldier and fanatic for two things - U.S. Civil War history and old English sports cars. I live in Florida, USA, and, yep, on many sunny days you can find me on the beach doing some light reading in the 128 volumes of the "Official Records of the War of the Rebellion"!
