Waking up in the past, as an Irish immigrant?

Does anyone remember a young adult book where the main character (prob 16 year old girl) wakes up in the body of another 16 yr old girl, who is orphaned and has a older brother and younger sibling? The romance comes when this teen falls in love with her older brother.

As I type this out, it sounds a little out there, but it was a great book when I was that age. I'm guessing it was published early - mid 80s.

Can anyone remember this book?

I think this might be Halfway Down Paddy Lane or something similar to that. I remember loving this story.
