Does anyone else think it is wrong that Jace kisses Clary even though they are brother and sister?

Connie She's not describing her feelings, she's describing his body, physical appearance that aren't going to change. I understood how deeply Jace loved Clary, and he didn't give a 2 page description. I'm just saying.......

Cassie 'The Thinker Go Go Go Go' Mis. Roben Goodfellow'\Isabelle Lightwood well when you put it that way--it's ture he should get more than just two pages to say how much he loves her and all that stuff

Angela M Well, I don't know how to explain this without spoiling anything, but here's a spoiler anyway.

(view spoiler)

Nonetheless, I don't really have a thing against incest (only when it happens in books, not in real life) as long as there's the tangible chemistry. For Jace and Clary, they have to show more chemistry because I think it's lacking.

Jace should show more gestures, but I love how open and stubborn he gets. It's totally adorable. It makes sense, though, because Jace did say I thought that part of me was damaged. That being his capability to love. He might still be adjusting to the bizarre emotions and things that surges through him like the heart-pounding thingy going on so let's give him time.

Clary, on the other hand, has to put herself out there. Luke and she were just talking about how they should make their feelings known. I was annoyed when she just kept what she should have said to Jace towards the end of the book. I think she was just being selfless, and maybe she thinks that was better for everyone especially her mother?

That's my hunch, but I'm yet to read City of Glass and I really hope things start looking up for these two because I love love love them.

just shush and read, you'll be at peace then

Lindsey Thompson Personally i think its disgusting. I know there like "we cant help it blah blah blah"but personally I would suppress those feelings so hard, avoid seeing him and everything.

Goddess Of Blah It's blatantly obvious that things were gonna resolve themselves. Jace and Clary are a super HOT couple- no way could it end as them being siblings.

But it still made me queasy. I liked book one. Book 2 was passable. Book 3 got annoying but ok. Book 4 I skimmed read - it just tanked after that.

Stephanie i just can't accept the fact that they are related. if you took jace and looked at him closely to valentine from the discriptions you get from all of the characters, there are some things clary has from valentine, but it is possible that jace's realy father died when he was a baby, or a kid, thus the scar on his shoulder, and then valentine is the one who killed his father and then raised him as his own, and jace ended up inheritaning the way valentine walks, and thaat look of amusment in his eyes. but jace looks nothing like valentine from what every character that saw the both of them described them with comparision.

Victhing#1 I don't think its bad, because they are in love. & Jace doesn't care what other people may think.

So are you saying that Clary and Jace should ignore convention and blood ties because they are in love? So, if you had a brother/sister whom you may not have known was your brother or sister, but because you already loved or had deep feelings for, you would still date and possibly marry in the future?

i have an idea like that i've been kicking around for a long time. Where the "destined hero" gets killed and his sidekick has to save the world and unlike many stories you don't find out that the sidekick was the hero all along and just never knew it. Everything would be doable. They would save the world but it would be 10 times harder than it should have been. Possibly with killing off of main characters and switching viewpoints. It's a complex idea and I'm no author but I would like to see it happen one day.

Victhing#1 It's fine. 'Cause I know they're not.

Desi I totally agree and it feels wrong to continue shipping them, but they're totally in love, how could you not ship them? When you read further it gets better, but at the moment I understand why you think its wrong. But honestly if you were madly in love with someone who was supposed to be your brother, being honest, it'd be hard not to kiss them because they love each other, no matter how wrong.
