Share Your Thoughts on the Love Triangle

Share your thoughts on the Love Triangle in the Selection series. This discussion will be posted/continued on my blog later. I understand most of you are on Team Maxon, and on Tuesday I will be posting 5 reasonable explanations why she will not end up with Aspen. In the meantime, what do you think of it?

i feel like this was a very expected love triangle with the home town boy being the one with pride issues and the new guy making the girl realized that she's a heck of a lot stronger than even she thought. what i think i really need though is the outcome of what aspen's motives are that hopefully we'll get to in the finale of the series.

Maxon made America think about her actions a bit more, and question what she knew and what she'd been taught. that made her grow as a person which is what you want to see in a YA relationship

Aspen made her feel safe for a while but he didn't challenge her. yes she snuck out of her house to see him, but she was resigned to beign ok with dropping a class to be with him and just being a wife/mom. while that's nice, it's not a stretch, and i think that he was ok with that (until she showed that she could provide better than he could).

if we're going to look at this from a stretch, value POV, then i think that we need to dive into the dynamic of Maxon and Ames more and appreciate it for what it's been so far and hope that it continues to be great in The One.
