Okay, so I'm just about to start shadowland and I was wondering how we're going to do this. How often do you want to check in and discuss?

Can I join in this as well? I will probably start late because I have to request the books, but I'll make it work somehow. Will we read the whole series on our own or will we have a seperate start date for each book?

I don't know if Hannelore plans on reading the entire series or not, but I only own the first one so for now I'll only join for that one. I might borrow the other ones from the library later. We'll see.

About 30% in it and it's starting to grow on me...

I didn't really like Damen at first. Just being gorgeous doesn't quite do it for me. He started to be more interesting when he said "Who do you think taught Picasso?" I thought that was intriguing for some reason. Also, what is the deal with the illusions? I really want to know how he's doing that!

I still don't like Ever very much. I do not like Haven at all. I'm not sure why the goth thing isn't sitting well with me. Miles is OK. Damen is a mystery so I'll get back to him later in the book. (hide spoiler)]

I don't know. It feels like she's just trying to prolong the "ignorance" period of the book even though there's no valid reason.

I agree with you though, it does read quite easily.

73% I know what you mean I was starting to love him too but I'm pissed at Ever because (view spoiler)[ all this time all she wants is some explanation, some answers and now that she had a chance all she wants is for him to go away and cannot be bothered to ask the most obvious question "what do you mean you can't lose me again?" and I REALLY wanted to know the answer to this one. And with Ava too! Just listen to the woman! I mean she had headaches, she can't focus and she's just a mess but her rejection of Ava is unjustified and it started long before Riley disappeared. So that's not the reason and I just don't get her.
It's annoying how she just wants eveybody to shut up and leave! (hide spoiler)]

I haven't read vampire academy but I hope it gets better because so far Ever is just annoying. I haven't decided if I'm going to read the next one, I think it depends on how this one end.

Ahaha! You both so much further into this than I am! I am just really not liking to. Don't ask me why. I just really, really don't like it so far and cannot get into it. Only on page 44 at the moment. Hope it picks up.

Well I finished. It did get better, but not good enough. I wish there was more going on. Because at the end all there was (view spoiler)[ was the fact that Damen loves Ever. Darin hates Ever. Ever is psychic and Riley is a ghost. (hide spoiler)] I don't know if I can read the next book if I hate Ever this much. She was better towards the end I give you that. But, the whole book felt more like a whiney inner monologue. I sincerely hope the next book is better. I plan to give it a shot before giving up on the series :)

Well, I read up to page sixty. I really cannot get into this. I really don't like it but if it gets better at the end, I'll sit through it and get there in the end! Sorry for the slow reading pace. I'll probably try the second book too.

It does pick up a little but don't get your hopes up too high lol. I think its writing style is its only saving grace so far.

I read shadowland and the first 2 and I really don't like them that much. They're really boring and predictive. Well I didn't like shadowland at all. The first 2 were all right.

Look guys, I tried. I really, truly did try but I cannot stand Ever. I have new xmas books and a tonne of buddy reads to be reading so... is it okay if I DNF this book?? I know this is going to make me like the worse buddy ever but I don't think I can finish this. At least not at the moment. I may pick it up and finish it at a later date but for now, I can't. Is that cool with you guys?? I really am sorry.
