Janine: "Okay, these are the pairs: Zayna and Blaire, Carly and Alec, when he get's here, and Amaria and Eli."

Carly: I raise my hand. "So basically I keep doing this?" I gesture to the spinning loop.

Aria: I smile. "Guess we're partners again."

Eli: I glanced over at Aria. This wouldn't be so bad. We've got similar gifts, we can definitely help each other out. I gave a small smile, "Not bad pairs."

Janine: I walk around, handing out the folders to each student. They all had an individual one. "You have until the end of the period, I'll be at my desk if you need me." I sit down at my desk.

Carly: I roll my eyes and split my loop into three.

Aria: "Not bad at all," I say. "What tips do you think she's got in these things?" I hold a folder up.

Alec: I walk into the class, and sort things out with Ms. Williams. She tells me I'm paired with Carly. We're practicing control. I walk over to Carly and sit at the desk next to hers. "Hi... Nice water loop."

Carly: "Thanks. I've been trying to do more elaborate shapes, but they keep falling apart and then I get soaked. That's really not what I want right now, I like being dry."

Eli: I shrug. "I don't know." I open up my folder and glance through it. "It says Focus on any item in the room. Something that doesn't have thoughts. That's what I try to do." I continue reading,

Blaire: when I momentarily look up from my phone after moving seats to sit next to what's her face, she has this ridiculous look on her face. "what the heck are you doing?" I sneer, amused.

Alec: "Same, so. Control, huh? I don't really think anyone, or any tips, can help me."

Carly: "What's your power?"

Aria: "Mine says: Keep your mind busy. Try and think of random things, and it might block out others thoughts."

Alec: "Well, I have super strength. But only when I'm mad." I say.

Carly: "So you're like the hulk."

Alec: I smirk. "Minus the whole giant green monster thing."

[Molly]

Eli: "That's a good one." I stop reading and stare down my pencil. These tips in my folder were rather stupid compared to Arias. It wasn't working very well. I've tried these before. I've already read my own thoughts and I've tried to distract myself. None of it works. I wonder if there are other people with powers like mine and Aria's who've actually learned to control there gift. Before I knew it I was totally focused on how my thinking about my own thoughts never work I realize that I've stopped reading everyone elses. It lasted for a few seconds then stopped. I was back to my freakish self.

Carly: "Want to see the best I can do with my power?" I ask him.

Blaire: I raise my eyebrows. "fine. Don't talk to me," I turn back to my phone. God, this class was pointless.

Aria: Hmm. Rabbits. They're so, so, cute. Ugh. Did I chip a nail? Was that Blair? I don't know. I need to think more thoughts. Is there an English report due Friday? i really should get started. But then we have the Algebra test tomorrow I have to study for... Huh. Weird. I don't hear anyone else. Maybe this tip is working. I wonder where Lyric went. I wonder- It stopped working. The thoughts of my classmates flooded back into my head. I rub my temples, gritting my teeth. "Well, it sort of worked..."

Alec: "Sure, just don't get me wet!"

[Molly]

Eli: I opened my eyes. I hadn't noticed that they were closed. "It did for a little bit. then it stopped." I sighed, this was pointless. "I think I've got a permanent headache."

Carly: "I could dry you off again anyways." I take all the water out of my bottle and shape it into an eagle, complete with eyes and feathers. Then I make its wings flap.

Aria: I sigh. "Same,"

Alec: I clap. "That's cool, all I can do is bend metal and all that other crap,"

Blaire: I take out a nail file, and proceed to file my nails neatly. "when does this class end?" I look up at teacher girl. My packet lay on my desk, hardly worth reading.

Carly: "All you can do is bend metal and all that crap?"

[Molly]

Eli: I don't feel very good. "I think I need a break." I say. I stand up and walk towards the door. The hallway will probably be empty. It was class hours. I stop at the teachers desk. "Do you mind if I take a break?" I ask. I was getting a huge headache from all of the thoughts, added to the talking, added to my trying to block it all out. It was too much.

Janine: "Blaire, you have twenty more minutes. And, no, of course not Eli." I say, snapping out of my thoughts. Well, Aria and Eli couldn't read mine. I had put up mental walls, and practicing guarding my mind.

Eli: I nod, "Thanks." Then I walk out to the halls.

Blaire: "I'm not learning ANYTHING. can I leave? " I ask annoyed.

Aria: I get out of my chair. "Miss, may I take a break?" I ask Ms. Williams.

Janine: "Yes, Amaria."

Aria: I go out to the hallway for piece and quiet.

Blaire: "bitch," I mutter under my breath when she ignores me. I glance at all the other students, then decided to get my MacBook air. I snapped my fingers twice, and it appeared neatly on my desk.
