For anyone looking for book recommendation lists featuring POC in Fantasy by female authors

I'd like to add another recommendation--it's more historical fiction than fantasy, but still a great read: Mara, Daughter of the Nile by Eloise Jarvis McGraw. The protagonist is an Egyptian girl living in ancient Egypt, who works as a double spy. Enough said :)

OMG, I read Tomoe Gozen decades ago! It was awesome! A female samurai is still very cool. Way before the kick-assedness that was Xena!

This is more about movies--but I remember a critic saying that "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon" was nothing new, because Xena has been doing it for years, and I wanted to point out that as early as the 1920s, there has been Chinese films featuring women in martial arts.

This is a list full of stuff I knew but also books i've never heard of. I thought of @FountainPenDiva as her updates are often filled with book recommendations that are outside of what she's looking for =D
I hope someone gets something new out of this list!
