message 9: by Sydney (new)

Sydney (sydneypearl) If you go to edit the review on the books you've read and guess around the start and finish date of those books, it'll add them to the list.

I didn't like Carnival of Souls or Eon very much. What'd you think of them?

Natalie (Never trust a duck) Carnival of Souls was not my cup of tea. It took me a long time to get through because it was so boring.I didn't care for any of the characters either. Eon was better than Carnival of Souls, but not by much. It was entertaining enough the first 100 pages, but it went downhill from then on.

message 23: by Sydney (last edited Jul 06, 2013 01:22PM) (new)

Sydney (sydneypearl) Both of them bored me too. I was so disappointed in Carnival of Souls. I love Melissa Marr's series Wicked Lovely so I thought it would be awesome. But it bored me to death. And it took me 2 or 3 tries to finish Eon.

Natalie (Never trust a duck) I was really excited for Carnival of Souls because the summery sounded awesome and the cover was cool. I tried Eon's sequel, but I couldn't read it all so I just read the last few pages for the resolution :P

I didn't even try to read Eon's sequel. And decided that IF I read the sequels to Carnival of Souls, I'm definitely not buying it. Because I regret my $18 spent on a hard cover of it.

Natalie (Never trust a duck) Agreed. Library order definitely. Its got me curious as to the ending, but not enough that I won't feel bad not reading it. What's your favorite book that you read so far this year?

I would have to say either Vampire Academy or the newest Warriors book.
What about yours?

Natalie (Never trust a duck) I would say The Fault in Our Stars/Anna and the French Kiss/Under the Never Sky/Out of Sight Our of Time :) It's so hard to just pick one!!!!

message 29: by Sydney (new)

Sydney (sydneypearl) I haven't read any of those yet! :p I have Under the Never Sky on my tablet, but I haven't gotten around to reading it yet. I really want to read The Fault in Our Stars, but our library hasn't gotten it yet and it may be a while before they do, since they have a super low budget.

Natalie (Never trust a duck) OMG YOU HAVE TO READ UNDER THE NEVER SKY, LIKE RIGHT NOW! Well, I don't know if you can tell, but I really liked it :P The Fault in Our Stars...what a beautiful book :) I haven't read either Vampire Academy or the new Warrior book though I really want to!!

Haha! I plan on reading it at some point this summer. I just have such a big stack of books to read already. :p

Natalie (Never trust a duck) I know what you mean. My bedroom is literally made up of piles of books because I ran out of bookshelf room :)

message 33: by Sydney (new)

Sydney (sydneypearl) I have my bookshelf on my desk filled with my favorite books, then I have this wardrobe thing that has a space where you put a TV filled with more books. Cuz who needs TV? ;D

Ya they are good :) Forever was the best one I think. Oh yes I am, but I have to get it first. I made a promise with myself to read all the books I have before getting any new ones :/

Natalie (Never trust a duck) I'm trying to do that too. I'm addicted to buying books. :P

Sydney (sydneypearl) Whenever I come home with new books my mom is like "You bought more?! I work at a library! Stop wasting your money when you can just check them out!" And I always tell her "At least I don't buy drugs!"

LOL That's a solid argument. My mom and sister just look at me with one eyebrow raised up and say "Really, you just got more books when you already got a bunch last week?" I just say "At least every other book I read has sequals, i need them NOW!"

I use that argument too! Or else "the books at the library smell funny". . . because some of the old ones DO smell funny. Or theres stuff on some of the pages from unknown substances being spilled. And I'd just rather have my own clean copy.
