Will there be a second movie?

I would love to see what happens between Lena Ducane and Ethan Wate. I love the chemistry between both actor/actress and would love for a second movie.

I'm hoping that maybe they could remake the first movie with a totally different director. I loved the actors but they probably can't redo a movie with a different director. But I really think they could do better if they remade the first movie and had the right plot

I disagree with all of you. Beautiful Creatures ‘was’ a good movie. I did read the books first, but that doesn’t change my opinion of the movie. I seriously wanted them to make the second movie. I waited 2 years, but they didn’t and I doubt that they will have the others either. Also, if you are a true reader and fan, you’ll realize that ALL BOOKS ARE BETTER THAN THE MOVIES. You keep in mind that they’re the original version. And someone had said something about the Percy Jackson series. They never made the third movie to that either. But yes I am always disappointed when I watch the movie after reading the book. But if you think about it, the book is a better version that lets you know the secrets that anyone who didn’t read the books, wouldn’t know. Like the movie didn’t have Lena’s and Ethan’s Kelting… All these faults in the movie makes you love the book even more.

I agree that the movie was good but they cut out a character that is pivotal to the later books which is why I disliked it. Thats also the main reason they cant do another film. Theyd have to change the story far too much :)

I want there to be a second movie but at the same time I do not because I absolutely ADORE this series and the first movie was good, but it wasn't good enough for me to appreciate the fact that the casting director ruined my idea of what the characters look like

Actually she never did get claimed... In the movie that is, all she did was make the moon disappear so that she couldn't be claimed by the light or dark.

I doubt there will be a second movie, BUT since where in the era of remaking/rebooting movies there's always a chance that they'll start from scratch and if they do, let's hope they've learnt something.

That's a good point, maybe they could start again but do it right this time lol. Although I did like the choices they made for ALL of the cast, if only they could remake/reboot it with the same cast.

I agree, I loved the movie but, from what I understand they did a chop job with it. In the book Lena was supposed to Dark and Ethan was supposed to die that's why it was called "Beautiful Darkness". Then, in the second one she fights against her darkness and travels to the underworld to bring Ethan back. By killing off her uncle in his place and making it where she goes 1/2 and 1/2 completely ruined any opportunity to create a sequal. They would have to really do something drastic and twist the story in a phenomenal way to reconnect with how the 2nd book is in order to In a sense they would have to find a way to kill off Ethan and have it where her Darkness overpowers the good side etc. That's a lot and I don't know if they would

TBH, I just watched Beautiful Creatures (the movie) without having read any books and I loved it. I understand that as an adaptation of a book it may have not be the best, but I'd love to see the next one if it ever comes out. Or I will have to read the books, hopefully they will be good :D
