HAHAHAHAHA... no Teresa, I won't eat any of you. X)
◈ Mini-Challenge #4:Dark Forces Creature BuilderCadet Blue
Take 3 books with a dark force type creature and build your own creature. Then give it a terrific name.
A preternatural from Soulless, a psychotic ghost from The Restorer, and a vampire from Dark Needs at Night's Edge.
Name: An insane blood-sucking souless serial killing apparition .
◈ Mini-Challenge #6: Oh no, I liked it!For me, it was Twilight, which was recommend by a bookstore sales clerk. I was looking for a vamp book and I was hesitant to read a YA book. I do think this was my first - as an adult. I actually loved it and felt the author captured just how it was when I was in high-school many years ago; we had bloodsuckers, too. I didn't like the rest of the series, however. Nevertheless, I've read the first one about five times!
Lisa Kay, what part makes your creature insane? Is it that he's blood sucking or that he's soulless or a serial killer? Just curious. And yes, a run for Blue Bell is on the list of things to do now!!

I think she got that from the psychotic ghost that was mixed into the batter for that crazy scary creature!
And oh dear lord, now I want cupcakes AND ice cream.
*sigh*
I AM drooling for ice cream so much that I just get off the subway 3 stops before mine in order to shop for some. I hope you all feel happy

If mid-40s is old, I don't want to talk about it anymore :P
Sonia wrote: "I AM drooling for ice cream so much that I just get off the subway 3 stops before mine in order to shop for some. I hope you all feel happy"Hey, for me to go to the store to get mine, I'll have to go a few exits PAST mine. X)

He's older than me... and still dreamy. :)
Leslie, that picture of bluebell ice creams is just evil.
(***as I leave to get a pint of dutch chocolate)
we don't have Bluebell ice cream, at least that I know of, so, the winner as ben&jerry's peanut butter one. The magnum dark chocolate & raspberry was flirting with me but I nerd the richeness & saltyness of the peanut butter
Sonia, peanut butter ice cream is my absolute favorite. YUM.Looks like I'll be screwing the diet (and my biggest loser team at work) and getting some ice cream at the store on the way home. :)
Steven, it's a matter of simple math. You can have the calories as long as you burn them - a huge biggest loser fan here, it was the inspiration for the advantage book points *giggles*And btw, I'm not going to burn any calories today *sigh*

I'll burn a few scooping and lifting the spoon to my mouth, right???

I recommend Haagen Daaz Dulce de Leche OR Baskin Robbins 31--Pralines & Cream. Both flavors are my favorite and they are the BEST. It's better than Blue Bell (which I believe it a southern/Texan company, right?).

Anyway, I looked at the calories information and almost fainted.
Did I stop eating it? Hell no! :)
Leslie wrote: "Barb, Love the covers!! Absolutely perfect."When I saw them and realized they were all from the same series, I HAD to post them :)

Maybe I'll let her proudly explain to my trainer tomorrow why did I take a detour to buy an eat a a half pint of ice cream.

And I was making fun of Steven because he started the whole "Cotton Malone is an old geezer" thing, hahaha! *snicker*
I go for my healthy walk with my healthy snack, come home and have a healthy lunch, only to come here and see more talk of ice cream and cupcakes!! That sounds really good. I love little cake bits in my ice cream!!! I have ice cream here but no cake. I may have to just eat the ice cream. Butter Pecan for me. Pecans are healthy, right??
And yes, Steven, lifting the spoon to your mouth counts. ;)
ilovebakedgoods (Teresa) wrote: "Butter Pecan for me. Pecans are healthy, right??"I love butter pecan too, and yes, pecans ARE healthy! :)
Steven wrote: "I never said he was an old geezer! OMG!"LMBO!! I know... I just wanted to see if you were paying attention, LOL!!
I'm evil like that sometimes. ;) Here, let me make it up to you:
THREE (or is it 4??) heaping scoops of peanut butter ice cream, just for Steven!
Sonia wrote: "Anyway, I looked at the calories information and almost fainted...."Speaking of calorie information,
My 5year old daughter is getting taught about the dangers of sugar in kindergarten, right? So when we went grocery shopping (which we normally do ever 2 weeks), everything I put in the cart, she would turn to the back to read the label. She turned the Tropicana Orange Juice and said "mommy, this has 27 sugars. it's not healthy."
(Note, they don't understand grams yet, so she either says 27 sugars or 27 cups of sugar). I tried to explain that some sugars were natural, but she didn't want to hear it. She said "Orange juice isn't healthy. Water is an A, Milk is a B, Juice is a C."
Isn't kindergarten a little to young for the schools to be doing this? I mean, I am all for teaching them about eating well and making good choices, but she was a nightmare at Grocery Store yesterday.
BTW, Popcorn didn't have any sugars listed on the back,so she was so excited to have that in the cart.

YUM! I hope my store has some peanut butter ice cream. *crosses fingers*
Oh boy, Kindergarten grocery police, LOL!! Yes, it probably is a little soon for them to learn that stuff, seeing as how they aren't aware of what might be healthy sugar vs unhealthy, and so on. Not to mention the amounts of sugars, etc! Egads, 27 cups of sugar in orange juice would be scary, LOL!!
Just wait until she starts learning about fats, eh? "Avocados have a lot of fat, they are bad", lol!
Ezi, I would want to kill the kindergarten teacher or make her do my grocery shopping! I don't think they know the "sugar is bad" lesson here in Louisiana. And I'm so bad with authority, that I'd be like "watch me honey pile all the sugary food in the basket!"

Yes, Steven had the right of it - psychotic ghost; plus, the hero vamp in Dark Needs at Night's Edge is thinking he's losing his mind, and so do his brothers.
Ezinwanyi~For you, Agron wrote: "I mean, I am all for teaching them about eating well and making good choices, but she was a nightmare at Grocery Store yesterday."FOFLMBO! Oh, Ezin! I'm laughing so hard, tears are coming out of my eyes. Can't wait for your parent/teacher conference. LOL!
