Wingle(I came across this last night when someone tried to say wiggle and mingle and it merged together)
Hee hee! Nice suggestions folks.I've come up with 'narb brain' ('narb' means 'no' in troll).
I also need a replacement for 'Dickens' in 'What the Dickens is going on?'
Any ideas?

Bojboj
What the mucklebum is going on?
'Numby-bumby' for the first and 'what the wibbly-wobbly wingle-wangle' for the second. At this rate, Rosen, you're going to have to do a Tolkien and create an entire history/mythology/language of the Troll world.
Wasn't too good at languages at school, so didn't get into classical troll, but here's a try.Finkler for first, furzlehoop for second.
This is the greatest response I've ever had to a Facebook question - a UKAKF thread, loads of Facebook responses and also private emails full of candidate words.Perhaps I ought to be writing a kids' swear word dictionary instead of a novel! ;-)
I'm tempted, at a much later date, to write 'The Troll Hunter's Handbook'. It would have a spotters guide to the different trolls, a low down on all the troll hunting weapons, a dictionary of made up words used in the book, etc.

As for words for plonker ... funkelplopper? globwobbler? or maybe faffdorker?
Something like that would be have loads of illustrations.Incidentally Katie, did you get the survey Amazon sent to children's authors? One of the questions about their self-publishing platform was "Would you like to see an option to split royalties?"
That could be very useful for projects with multiple authors or books that use illustrators who would like to be paid a commission.
I didn't get that, Rosen, but yes it would be a good option to have available. I wonder why I didn't get it? I'm a children's author.:(

I need a made-up word synonymous with 'plonker' for trolls to say to each other. Any ideas?
I know how we all love playing with words!
