May Renegade Read Guidelines

Just a suggestion, you may want to put these threads in "What else are you reading?", the threads in the general section get pushed off the front page pretty quick.
Maybe the mods could be nice enough to either:
Make a new renegade reads section for these kinds of things.
Or even better:
Make you a new section for the book.

I agree that the 'what else are you reading?' section would be more appropriate otherwise. :)

(I like the idea of a whole section for the renegades read selections. Keeps things organized)
I posted a Renegade Read thread floating the idea of reading Iain Banks' The Player of Games this month for folks who wanted to check it out in addition to or in place fo Wool. There was interest in Banks in the "what do you want to read in May" thread and several responses to my thread so... here we go.
I've not started a Renegade Read before but I'd like to suggest some guidelines:
1) I've posted a starter thread here. We can use that as the main thread but if you want to highlight a particular thing about the book then of course go right ahead (like I could stop you... ) However, let's try to keep things organized. Please preface the subject with either "Renegade Read:" or "Player of Games: ." That will let people know what the thread is about and they can open or avoid it as they please.
2) Post threads in the What Else Are You Reading forum for now (T, V and mods... if you'd like this elsewhere please let us know).
3) Although the book's been out for years please assume there are new readers and watch the spoilers.
