We just finished a buddy read of The Lying Game. It wasn't quite what I expected. I didn't like it enough to want to read any more of the series...or any of the author's other books for that matter.

I whole-heartedly agree. Actually, I really disliked a lot of this one. The undertones of the book are not something I feel comfortable with. I'm glad I picked this one up at the library; I would hate to give this woman money.

it's not that i don't like the author. i loved the first 6 books of the Pretty Little Liar series. this book just didn't do it for me.

They can't all be winners :) And now we know. Besides, it's got great reviews so we are very much in the minority.

This actually really surprised me by how good it was. There was so much suspense and so many unexpected plot twists. This is a page turner! I was terrified throughout the book, it really kept me guessing! Nothing was obvious at all.

So I'm in the minority with not liking this book. I just thought that the girls were cruel, nasty, and juvenile. It kind of turned me off to the whole series because I think it was too much.

I was hoping for so much more given all the good reviews and high ratings. You weren't the only one disappointed. I think the big thing that turned me off is (view spoiler)[there are six books in the series now, and they still don't know who the killer is. You can only drag something out for so long before it gets really old. I had no interest in reading any more of the series. (hide spoiler)].

I really liked this book. It was better than I expected it to be. I can't wait to read the 5th book!!
