I just thought it could be fun if I started a discussion where you can write down which songs remind you of the story line to books. I think "We Can Learn to Love Again" works really well with the last book in the Reckless Magic series.

Alex (alexalvarez13) I think that a looot of songs go with the last book of the Need series by Carrie Jones (Entice), like "Shape Of My Heart"(BS Boys), "Cry With you" By Hunter Hayes.

And the latest book, is The Elite, which has two PERRRFECT songs for it, first:
1. I Will Let You Go (Daniel Ahearn) which is from Maxon's perspective;
2. Bleeding Love (Leona Lewis) America's perspective.

Purrrrfect. My two favourite book series.

cool. once I read the Elite I will have to listen to those songs. I really love it when I'm listening to a song and they lyrics work perfectly with the book I'm reading or my life!

Shaylee Ford (shayleeford) | 43 comments I personly think the song Radioactive by Imagine Dragons goes with the Divergent series. Somehow the song reminds me of Tris, especially in Insurgent.

I made another list of songs... these are just spot on, even the one with the selection.

1. The Selection- 4 Real (Avril Lavigne)
2. The Prince- Unmistakable (Backstreet Boys)
3. The Elite- I Will Let You Go (Daniel Ahearn)

message 13: by Rosarii (new)

Rosarii (rosie14) I think the song "Bleeding Out" by Imagine Dragons goes well for the book "Dreamless". I can imagine Lucas singing it about Helen :D

A Thousand Years by Christina Perri! I heard that she is a Twilight fan, and wrote the song with Edward and Bella. I know the song can be used for a lot of things, but it's meant for Edward and Bella.

Eve Agnes (everildagnes) | 2 comments I'm gonna say that Brave by Sara Bareilles fits well for Divergent

message 42: by Rainbow Moonstone (last edited Apr 26, 2014 09:26AM) (new)

Rainbow Moonstone (rainbowmoonstone) | 5 comments Great thread!I can think of a few and lol I agree that I think of Katniss every time I hear Girl on Fire ^^

1.Cinder – Midnight City and Moonchild by M83
Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles, #1) by Marissa Meyer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dX3k_...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBdmY...

2.Every Day by David Lethithan fits with The Suburbs (Arcade fire cover) by Mr Little Jeans.
Every Day by David Levithan https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Maym...
The song's themes of apathy in the suburban setting suits the vibe of the novel in a way.

3.The Ocean at the End of the Lane with Dragon Boy from the Spirited Away OST
The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zIDx6...
This novel game me the same powerful and magical feels that Spirited Away did so this was an easy pairing for me. There were scenes in the novel that made your hairs stand on end like and same goes for this score.

4. Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones and Merry Go Round of Life from Howl's Moving Castle OST.
Howl's Moving Castle (Howl's Moving Castle, #1) by Diana Wynne Jones https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMGet...
If you like to listen to music while reading I highly recommend listening to the OST while reading Howl's Moving Castle.

I didnt even know there was a song named that. Does it acutally have anything to do with the book, besides sharing a name?

It has everything to do with the book. The singer read TFIOS and was inspired to write a song about it, thus the title the fault in our stars
