The relevance is up to the reader. Some may find special relevance in certain books and none in others.

Sounds like a homework assignment ;)


This is quite a list of books!! It's been a while, I disticntly remember "To Kill a Mockingbird" being mentioned more then once. I've book eared and marked this book so many times, I was more intrigued with the historical events and name dropping of "The Help," then the books mentioned...


Only one book has been mentioned in 'The Help', that is, Gone With the Wind. Its about the civil war and racism as well. A must read in itself.
