The last half sucked me in! Quite a unique world and I loved how New Orleans felt almost like a person instead of a town in this one. This was a nice break from cookie cutter UF. It was quite dark though. Heather was a pretty cool character. E was super sick, the sad thing is he's not to far fetched which makes it even more sadistic. I suspect this is one where book 2 makes the series take off. I'll definitely be reading it in the near future!

Review: This was a pretty good book! It was more of a mystery than an paranormal romance but it was nice to read something different. I liked how aura's were portrayed and it added to the story very nicely. Will definately continue the series.

Finished: 5/5/13
Rating: 4½♥'s
Review:
(Re-read) I still enjoyed this thoroughly in my re-read, although I did find myself more sympathetic to the twins this go-round compared to my first reading. I really like the way the romance builds in a realistic way, and I felt the auras was done well. I could 'accept' the story very easily, and I liked that the characters were combinations of unlikely things. How smart Cali is compared to her lousy 'street smarts' (she is 'survival' smart, not 'urban' smart), for example. I will definitely read it again in the future when book 3 comes out most likely!
Items:
Coffee Page 102/Location 1564 "She walked in the door to find Phil up earlier than usual, sitting at the table with a cup of coffee and the newspaper."
Foyer Page 161/Location 2462 "Caledonia stood in the foyer for a moment, collecting her thoughts.
Tub Page 255/Location 3897 "There was a golden clawfoot tub set on a raised platform on one side of the room, its waterspout shaped like a swan.
Bear Page 132/Location 2010 "She thoughts about Calvin, and held it up, studying the little bear."
Bonus: Ghost Page 39/Location 587 "It occurred to him that she might be a ghost."

So sad that this is the final book in the Body Finder series because I've loved all these books since the beginning! Love the ending!
Items:
She kept her headphones on as she grabbed her purse from the dresser and dropped back onto her bed. (Page 7)
In the kitchen, the lights seemed too bright and Violet could smell the fresh coffee brewing in the pot. (Page 111-112)

Kisha found them like that, as she watched Evan from where she stood in line for the bathroom. (Page 338)
As a medium, Krystal claimed that she'd known where to find Violet after being contacted by the ghost of her abductor. (Page 264)

It has both window and smoke in it. Also has bear which is a tougher one. Let's all post what possible items once we have our books picked. If you don't want to search them I can for all of us :)

Review:
Well, this trilogy is over and it's kinda hard to write a review without giving away any spoilers. I did enjoy the whole trilogy. I liked the ending because Clea and Sage can finally live in peace without any more obstacles in their way.
Items:
Bath tub: This sounds like a serious issue for me until I see a deep tub, complete with bubble bath, water pillow, and TV mounted for the best possible lounge-and-watch angle. (Page 173)
Tea: With a rueful smile, I sit across from him and pour myself a cup of tea. (Page 74)
Horse: I bet if I'd wanted horses, she'd have let me. (Page 112)
Window: Worse, I can see her moving toward the window. (Page 44)
Smoke: His face has turned from pale to crimson, and I wouldn't be surprised to see smoke and ash pour out of his ears. (Page 178)

Do you know what food item you're thinking of claiming?
You do have bugs and horse.
Alana have you thought about what your'e claiming?
I'm for sure going to claim bear for my animal. I'm debating on vegetable or tea for my food item. I think I'll claim bookshelf for furniture since my book didn't have a bathtub in it.

Do you know what food item you're thinking of claiming?
You do ha..."
I have two books that might work (I've read this week- well one, I'm about to finish) but I don't think 'smoke' used to refer to a cigarette counts, does it? Or is it equal opportunity as long as you find the word? I'm also trying to make sure I can fill other needs (categories) as well...

this is the quote... would it work?

I put a request on the Items thread (question)
If it's OK, I'll be able to claim: window, smoke, fish, sofa, and meat.

So depending on what Dawn says... it will be either

This is becoming one of my favorite series, each book tops the last. This is one of the most unique and creative worlds that I have ever read. Hats off to Mr. Hearne for creating such a wonderful place to escape to for a while! You'll want to laugh, cry, and cheer for the good guy while reading these books. The Oberon quotes are priceless and I have to include my favorite from this one in this review. Atticus has decided it's time to fulfill his oath and take Hal and Leif to Asgard to kill Thor. Atticus knows this is a bad idea (Jesus even visits him and tells him so) and he figures it's time to leave Arizona because if they survive the trip to Asgard the s*!t is going to hit the fan. Atticus runs this idea by Oberon before leaving and Oberon tells Atticus that's fine as long as where they're going there's sausage and bitches! (view spoiler) If you're looking for a nice break from the typical paranormal book then pick these up. They will seriously have you laughing out loud at parts.

Review: This is the first of a new series from J. R. Ward, and I think I like it better than the Black Dagger Brotherhood! The dialogue was less "showy" if you know what I mean. The main character wasn't working so hard to be a bad-ass and it was a lot more enjoyable to read!

Sorry I didn't get back to you, I've just been searching for the hard ones first before I try to tag the easy ones. I agree TEA is a pretty easy word to find. I think Bear, Foyer and Dresser are going to be more difficult.

I had trouble finding tea in the last TCF challenge you hosted so I decided to claim it this week.

Well, when I was searching for it, there were words that added on to tea like tearing or teaching.

Review:
I was worried, honestly... how many books are there going to be about rich, sexually dominant men and the virginal, submissive females they fall for... even this lover of 50 Shades thinks the waters are getting too overabundant with these type books. But, despite that, I personally really enjoyed it. It's sexy, it's set in the UK, and I didn't find the female character to be a total nitwit (this is important to note, because there are many of that type of character out there.)
I've been thoroughly enjoying this story, I like how 'real' the characters are. They aren't perfect, they have issues, they make bad choices... even though obviously Ethan has money, they don't beat you over the head constantly that he's uber rich. I like them, and I'm sucked in.
Items:
Window Location 774 "... walked up behind her standing at the window, staring out at the city lights."
Fish Location 347 "'She loves you, Simba. Maybe if I tell her that you are pining and off your feed she'll come back.' So I was talking to fish now."
Rug Location 2056 "my office desk... the rug in front of the fireplace... balcony lounger, and even the gym."
Pizza Location 612 "Candlelight and pizza are excellent with the right person."
Bonus: Smoke Location 1559 "... the smoke from his clove handrolled swirling and tantalizing, making my mouth water."

Read: Dare You To by Katie McGarry
Finished: 5/18/13
Rating: 4½♥'s
Review:
Officially, my rating is 4½♥'s. There was just something I can't quite name at this time that was holding it back... no wait. I know what it was... I'll get back to that point.
If you are a fan of Pushing the Limits, then this is really a no-brainer. Yes, this story does not revolve around Noah and Echo, but they do have cameos. And you may balk at Beth, but I really understood her so much better, and liked her so much better after reading this book.
Why it fell short of a full 5♥'s. The bedroom action... granted, this is one of those borderline YA/NA and there is more than enough 'other' stuff (drinking, drugs... after all, this is a story about teenagers.) But the aftermath of the love scene really disappointed me. It wasn't bad, I just wasn't as enamored with that part. In addition to that, one of the things I loved so much about Pushing the Limits was how big a role the teacher played. This is a different story, so obviously not everything is going to be the same. But the 'teacher' role in this was understated and underwhelming.
Please, please, don't get me wrong, I still LOVED this book. It even gave me a book hangover of sorts where I just haven't found the right book to start reading after this. Doesn't happen very often, and I have to give props to accomplishing that.
I received an ARC via NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.

Stool Location 2410 "I stand so abruptly the stool wobbles then crashes to the floor."
Vegetable Location 747 "The moment she spears the small round vegetable, Mom glares at Dad."
Bonus: Lightning Location 1895 "... game-changing sound of nature intervenes: thunder and lightning."
