What Sequels are better than the 1st book?

I tend to read series most and a lot of readers have different views on sequels.
Not a lot of sequels make it to be as good as the first book in UF.
For example:

The ones that were really better than the 1st book were without a doubt:
makes me wonder about the sequel of
that I LOVED and
that I still haven't read

Prodigy was 100 times better than Legend which was a shock for me because usually the sequels aren’t that good with the exception of Harry Potter like you said. Blood Red Road was awesome but the sequel not so much. I’m not sure if I’ll be continuing with that one. I’m not a fan of the Divergent series so I can’t speak for them or The Hunger Games but I’m a big fan of Angelfall so I really hope the sequel is good :D

I'm getting a bit worried becauase of the end of Angelfall but I'll definitely read it. Loved that book
