Ok guys, so for those of you who are fans of The Fault in Our Stars by: John Green, this is for you. So, I may be wrong, but I don't think a movie is being made for this book. BUT I think that if they did, it would be awesome!! So what do you think? Should there be a movie? What would you change? Would you add something that was unclear?

So they are making a movie and Shailene Woolley (she's also playing Tris in Divergent) is set to play Hazel. Josh Boone is directing. So far no one else has been cast and I think John Green is one of the writers. Personally, I can't wait for this movie!
I can't wait for this movie. I loved the book, and everyone loves John Green, and I'm sure the movie will be great, hopefully! :D
All I care about is the "Okay?" "Okay." bit, Augustus' leg, his horrible driving, and Hazel's oxygen tank. That book is just so wonderful<3
The movie has the potiental to be great but sometimes when books to come to life on the screen they change the look and personality of the character and the plots are exactly the same. When people make a movie based off a book I would like if they followed the book exactly because then I get existed when I know what's going to happen and get to see it played out.
AHHHHHHHHHH they messed up the casting so badly! Ansel Elgort should be playing Issac, and Nat Woolf shouldn't even be in the move. Not that I have anything against him, but he's really not right to play Isaac.(Isaac is my favorite, so that really bugs me) And Ansel is playing Augustus! It's all wrong!
NO THEY CANT HAVE THE MOVIE AND SHAYLEEN IS GOING TO BE TRIS AND HAZEL GRACE. HOW CRAZY IS THAT. I CANT WATCHH
I really enjoyed the books. It was one of the best books where half of the time it was uplifting and half of the time you wanted to curl up in a ball and cry. I have hopes for the movie, the cast isn't so bad (in my opinion as long as they modify/downplay Shayleen Wolley), and if they play their cards right it might actually turn out pretty good.
It's looking pretty good so far, but I definitely have a LOT of doubts. I'm not a fan of Shaileene Woodley at all though, but the more I see her set photos and whatnot, the more I warm up to her.
I love the book and I'm really happy with the cast (especially Ansel Elgort as Gus Waters!!) Release date: 6th June 2014
So long away!!
That means he is a diverse actor who can play the brother AND the boyfriend!! In my opinion, it makes him awesomer!! Also, it's good because he and Shailene know each other better and that's necessary if they're playing Hazel and Gus!!! ;) I think he's the perfect choice for both roles and I can't wait to see both movies!! :D
There is a movie! It comes out June 6 2014. I'm a little afraid they'll mess it up, and the casting took some getting used to, but I can't wait! All the info. is at tfiosmovienews.tumblr.com along with everything else TFIOS related.
I'm not overly fond on the casting job but since they're finally making one of John Green's books into a movie finally (and the most heartbreaking one, of course) I'm still going to go see it, I just hope it's as good as the book.

Have you seen the videos that John uploaded on the Vlogbrothers channel? I didn't think much of the casting either until I saw those, so I recommend you watch a few.

They're amazing! The cast all seem like genuinely nice people who are dedicated to making a good film out of the book!! :)
I know that at least Ansel (Gus) and Shailene (Hazel) have the read the books a million times over and like Ishbel said, they're genuinely nice people who are really dedicated to making a good movie.

I'll just have to wait and see how they do in the movie. :/
