so even if the book is not that interesting, I try my best to complete it..

People of Sparks got better at the end. I had a tough time with it too at first. I loved City of Ember though.

I always finish the book.

Most of the time I will even finish a series. There have only been a few that I wasn't able to plow on through.

Its like this for me with the House of Night series. By book 4 I was completely fed up with the heroine that I wanted to toss her off a cliff
- but here I am a million books later & Im still reading them.
I just can't leave things unanswered - I HAVE to know how things end.

I do the same thing. If I dont finish it I feel like I am not doing the author justice. They put all that time into writing it. I can at least give them the courtesy of finishing it. Maybe it'll get better at the end? Maybe it'll make it worth it? If you dont like it, you can voice your opinion.
All in all though, just plow through. I am FORCING myself to read the twilight series. 2 down..2 to go. I'm hesitant to pick up the next one, but sooner or later I know that I will get back to it...eventually.

That was the first book I ever failed to finish because I didn't like it. I don't even remember the second one.

I finish it as quickly as I can so I can move on to another book.
Then I'll tell all my reader friends to avoid the book.

That happened to me in "Os Maias", "The age of innocence", and "Os Lusiadas", and the truth is that I end up really liking them. Actually it was because of "The age of innocence" that I start reading classic books and I found Jane Austen, who is one of my favourite authors now, so I'm glad I did it.
And every bookas is one message if you don't finish the book, you will never understand it.
