Inkheart by Cornelia Funke because it has references to other books in it, so if I miss having a lot of books I'll just read this (and it's also really thick), my Bible and my copy of 'the Complete works of Shakespeare, because then I'd finally read it all, since I'd have time to kill :P

message 95: by Monique (new)

Monique (beamerandi) | 21 comments The Bible because, well, must it be explained? If I need a book to teach me how to live, The Bible is it. It's one good manual of life. Second would be The Little Prince. There's just so much to be learned from the little fellah and no one's too old for The Little Prince and his boa constrictor that ate an elephant. As for my third book, I have yet to find one that is worthy of taking its place. I would think I would choose my favorite book of all time but I don't really like re-reading books I've read and when I thought about what books I'm willing to re-read, I only thought of these two. Gosh, I need someone to recommend me a good book that could take the position of third book for me. HAHA anyways, sorry about my rambling

message 96: by Katie.g (new)

Katie.g | 129 comments Good choices.
1. Survival guide (this would be more useful than any fiction)
2. The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson. I'd love to take the whole trilogy but the first book could easily stand on its own.
3. This is really hard. Maybe Cinder by Marissa Meyer, The Silkworm by Robert Galbraith (as of yet unread) or my favourite Harry Potter novel; The Half Blood Prince.
