I average a book every two days probably. If the book is really really good and I can't put it down I can finish it in one if I stay up late and its not a 1500 page book.

Without interruptions a day depending on the size of the book.Large ones over 500 probably 3 days with child minding in between. If a book is by an author I am not used to I will often take my time I find with japanese authors that I enjoy the slow reading more time to think as I read Out took me three days because I didn't want to rush it .Authors I know well I will burn the midnight oil to finish it then slap myself for burning through it

Wow it took me 2 weeks to read the book thief and thats 550 pages long

It depends for me. I like to savour my reading, really think about the story and the characters. And if it's a boring book then I'll find any excuse to put it down.
But generally, about 5 hours for your average YA. Which includes tea-making time.
If I really get into a book I can read it very quickly, but sometimes I worry that I read so quickly that I miss small details I would have otherwise caught if I had been reading slower.
Varies depending on the book, usually between 2 or 3 days and a week. I usually read in bits and bobs, in bed, on the bus, while eating, etc. So it depends on how often I happen to be doing all that!
It actually depends on what book I'm reading and if I like it. If I do find it interesting, I take around 1 day to finish it. If I'm just mildly intrested, I'll take about 3-4 days
it really depends on how much the book grabs my interest. i have been know to read 2 books in the course of 24 hours (The Demon King series) because i needed to know what was going to happen or a few days. it all depends on if i am working or off and if there are other things that must get done. but a book that really gets into my blood 1 to 2 days tops.
It depends, if I really like the book and I'm itching to know what will happen, I stay up all night to finish it. But usually, it takes about 2 to 3 days for me to get through a book.
Normally I read one or two a week but sometimes I can get into a really bad slump. When that happens I find it hard to even look at a book...
I try and read one book a week but tend to keep a few on the go at the same time to keep things interesting.
It depends on the book size, a 300-500 page book 24 hours or less, now that same 300-500 page book if I'm not interrupted 3-4hrs.More pages than that and it's usually around 48 hours. These are interrupted reading times. I read Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows in 7 hours.
it depends, if I like the book, no matter the size it wont take more than 48hs, if I'm kinda busy with school or so it takes me like 1 week, and if I don't liked it too muchs plus school 2 or 3 weeks :P for exemple, on thursday I started 'It's kind of a funny story' (awesome BTW) I finished it on saturday, then started 'hate list' (also really good) the same saturday and finished it yesterday, and now I'm reading 'Fever', I started it today morning at school I'm in page 62/350 :)
It all depends on my interest level and mood. I finished the twilight & hunger games series each in a week. If I take more than 2 weeks I just stop
There are different facts that I take under consideration. If the book's good and it doesn't annoy me, I'll finish it as fast as I can.
If the book is awful and boring, it usually takes more than usual.
2 days if it's good-- and if time permits!Several weeks if I'm not into the story.
I've tried... and tried.. to finish the Novel, 'To Dance with Kings', started out great... and I lost interest, slow plot build up.
Like what most people said, it really does depend on how much one is interested in the book. I finished the Twilight Saga in four days during this one summer. Compared to the first book of the Hunger Games series, which took me a little bit less than a week.
Since I have gotten my Nook I have been speeding through books. I like to read as much as I can and can get through a book in less than a day usually.
It depends on the time of year. If it is during the school year on average it takes me 2 weeks. If it is during the summer it takes me about 1 week. If it is really good there is nothing wrong with spending the whole day reading.

I solidly agree with Deborah. For example it took me the time in doctor's waiting room to read Horizon (Soul Guardians, #3). I couldn't put it down. While I have been reading the Problem of Pain by C.S.Lewis since Christmas and I am only on Chapter 5.
One is a M&m, taste but brief. The other a everlasting gobstopper; good but takes forever to finish.
I have a habit of reading more than one book at a time so it takes me about 2 weeks..but if I'm invested in it, it'll probably take me about 2 days for a 300 page book.
For me it depends on how interested I become in the characters and the plot. If I am super into a book it can take me from 1 night to around 3 nights to finish it (I'm a night reader). If a book doesn't really grab me and I have to force myself to pick it back up it can take around 5 nights to a week to finish it. I try to read around 200 pages a night, just a personal goal to keep me moving on the reading train :)
I like to read a few books at the same time (well not all open at the same time but you get the gist) I try and finish a couple of books a week but it ends up taking longer as a swap between books.
It depends on the book.. Somtimes I read a book in three days or less (if it's well written and has a great storyline)and if it isn't that good, and I don't really get that hooked on it, I can use everything from a week to several months. Sometimes I also read many books at the same time, and read what I feel like reading, but this can take a while (more books to finish).
I have read about 15 books so far this year but that is because I am currently looking for a job and all I do is read when not looking for work
depends on the length of the book but about 3 days on average for myself, because I do have to work full-time. I carry my Nook e-reader on me at times for the chance I might be able read whenever I can!
Depends on my mood as well as the book. Some books I gulp down. Unable to stop until I'm done. Some I have trouble getting into. Always think of something else I need to do after reading a few pages. Sometimes it's the book. But sometimes it's me. Notice it happens often after I've read straight through two or three books. I think I needed to come up for air.
It usually depends on the book and how busy I am. If I have lots of assignments, need to go to work, and not entirely fussed on the book then it takes me quite a wile. But there are some other cases when I am reading a book I like and I will go out of my way to finish that quickly, like The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. I finished that book in a matter of days. On average it takes 3 days to a week for me to finish a book.
:D
:D
Usually it takes me a day or two to read a book (if I'm not busy). But it also depends on the book. If I really want to know the ending, I will finish a book in a couple of hours. If I'm not interested, it would take me a week or two to finish (mainly because I like to finish a book, whether I like it or not).
Varies.... Some books I can read in a day or two but if the books are hot and I neeeeeed to know the happy ever after I Call into work, turn off phone and finish it i can read it in one day!!
Depends on my workloads really, if I have tons of homeworks to do (not to mention doing my revision), it'll take me a while to finish a book.
It depends on the book and how much time I have. It took me about three days to reach each of the Hunger Games books, whereas I'm now reading the last book in the Millennium series and have been at it for around three weeks.
2 or 3 days for an average fiction book (400-600 pages). And about a week for a nonfiction book.
I read a book in A Song of Ice and Fire the series for a week. :)
Depends. If I like it, the least would be less than a day, most would be 3-4 days or something. If I hate it, it could take me more than a month then I'd end up just ditching it.
Depends on my mood to be honest. ^^Books of 100-250 pages are more likely to be 'executed' (devoured!) in an evening or so, hehe! But books of 300-800 pages are more likely to be read between 2-5 days (when on vacation or summer holidays), because laying all-day just to finish them in a day makes me sick and rather incomplete & unsatisfied. And with a nasty head acke accompanied with hurting eyes!
It really depends on the font, how much time I have available to me, and all that. Generally I read 50 pages a minute so can finish a 200 page book in 4 hours. Generally it takes me a few days to finsih a book. Because I do need to sleep eat, and take care of animals.
