Heather Mann (heatherlynmann) Is there a book you've been itching to read and discuss with others? I've been wanting to read Spiritual Ecology: A Quiet Revolution by Leslie E Sponsel. Would you be game for making that the group's book for May?

Ouch--let me think on this and see what I can come up with. Thanks for the heads up.

Heather Mann (heatherlynmann) I was unsuccessful reaching Leslie Sponsel--author of Spiritual Ecology--so I couldn't pitch the idea of giving us a deal in exchange for reviews on Goodreads. So....

What do you think about reading Resisting Structural Evil: Love as Ecological-Economic Vocation by Cynthia Moe Lobeda. It was published on March 2, 2013 and doesn't have many reviews--we could be some of the first! New books are available on Amazon for $13.28 or on Kindle for $12.31.

Check it out and let me know :-)

Penny Andrews | 2 comments Heather,,,,I am not the world's most voracious reader and when I read I seek a compelling wisdom oriented, less intellectual sounding book than this. Perhaps in goodreads, you were seeking a different kind of reader, if so, I am happy to lurk and glean from others' thoughts and observations. Penny

Heather Mann (heatherlynmann) Thanks, Penny for your candid response as it helps all of us find our way together! Here are a few more suggestions for what we might read and discuss. Alternatively, does anyone else have a book suggestion?

Mindfully Green: A Personal and Spiritual Guide to Whole Earth Thinking
Hooked!: Buddhist Writings on Greed, Desire, and the Urge to Consume
Fear by Thich Nhat Hahn
Dharma Gaia: A Harvest of Essays in Buddhism and Ecology
