Danielle From memory I think the interviews were quite a few years after, maybe up to a decade later. I may be wrong.

I was thinking a decade or so, too.

Jean-Sebastien -B- ok thanks, but the actual war when was it? 1940's 60's 2010's ect?

Liz I think it would have been in the relatively near future because there was a chapter where they were interviewing one of the NATO generals talked about the war in Iraq as something that he had lived through.

Holden Attradies The zombie outbreak starts happening in what would have been the first Administration after Bush was president, so starting around 2009. They mention a few times that the war was a decade long. I think they date the end of the war with the declared Victory in China (I think it's mentioned in a few chapters). So that would put the war ending around 2020, and I get the impression that most of the interviews were conducted with in ten years of that because of what the Brook's character says in his interview about how soon the book is coming out after the official end of hostility's. So that puts the book publishing sometime between 2025 and 2030?
