Book group is going to read

Hello everyone! I have a question about this book. I am currently reading "Kiss of a Demon King" by this author from her Immortals After Dark series. "Shadow's Claim" is a new series, so does anyone know if I should finish the Immortals series before reading this book? I know some author's different series can relate to one another. Thanks!

You don't have to finish the IAD series to read Shadows claim and understand what is going on but the last book that is out in the IAD series is Lorthaire's and he is connected to the spin off series. So, I would finish IAD first.
