Shira Friedman | 22 comments I can't remember what the first story was about, but the second one has the lovers trapped in a cabin during a snowstorm.
The third story, and the one I am really trying to find, has the lovers meet in costume at a masquerade, where they end up in a hotel room--she thinks the person she sleeps with is a different coworker, but it is really her boss, I think. This leads to them meeting once a week at the hotel, always in costume of different themes, so that their identities are protected from each other.
I REALLY want to find this book!! Any help much appreciated.

SparksofEmber | 957 comments Hmm, this one has a snowstorm story - though I have a feeling that's a common plot in these types of books. ;)

Do you remember if it was 3 stories by one author or 3 different authors? And was there a common theme between the stories - frequently these anthologies all have something in common: Christmas stories, Summer Nights, romance with someone unexpected, etc.

message 3: by Shira (new)

Shira Friedman | 22 comments So I'm not sure. It's possible the theme was winter or New Years eve.
And thanks for sharing the link to the book-it wasn't the one I am looking for, but it looks like it would be worth a read itself!

With the masquerade theme--could they have been Halloween stories? And is there any pn themes in the stories? I can think of one that is kind of similar, but there are vampires and I think a werewolf in the stories.

message 8: by Shira (new)

Shira Friedman | 22 comments Unfortunately, no, I know for sure there was no fantasy in any of the three stories. They were also all contemporary.

message 9: by SparksofEmber (new)

SparksofEmber | 957 comments And how recently did you read this? Was it published in the last year or two? Early 2000s? 90s?

message 10: by Shira (new)

Shira Friedman | 22 comments Hmmm, not sure about when it was published, but I know I read it probably within the last year or two.

message 11: by Shira (new)

Shira Friedman | 22 comments It is possible that it was early 90s, because I can't actually remember anyone using cell phones...but that could be just because I don't remember at all.

Goge (BARRONS) le Moning Maniac, | 256 comments Do you remember anything else about the second story? Were they in a small town? Who were the H and h? Were they 'together' or were they people who just met? Because this sounds awfully familiar but I'm not sure. And is there anything else about story three you might recall? I need a little more info. Thanks!

message 13: by Shira (new)

Shira Friedman | 22 comments Ok, so my gut is telling me that the hero and heroine in the second story were complete strangers. And I think the hero was at first unhappy that she was there. Maybe.
For the third one, I think the hero is the heroine's boss, and she has been working for him for a while. The boss really likes her, but she doesn't know it. He knows the whole time, through all the weeks that they sleep together, that she is who she is. She has no clue, however. But then she realizes later.
I think the prologue has them continuing to rent out the hotel room, to continue their themed rendezvous.

message 14: by Shira (new)

Shira Friedman | 22 comments Oh, and the three stories were written by different authors

Twas the NightBlue Christmas are 2 possibilities. Like Goge, it sounds really familiar. But I have about 1.5k books in my house--plus another 3k or so on my Kindle and Nook. So it's not easy for me to check my books.

message 16: by Shira (new)

Shira Friedman | 22 comments That's a lot of books...!

Goge (BARRONS) le Moning Maniac, | 256 comments That is a humungo amount of books Ann! I'm only in my hundreds for my ebooks and idk about my books at home but I've been in love with books since I was a toddler so probably they're probably in the thousands. I'll check my bookshelf on here, goodreads, but I'm also in the thousands so it'll take a while.

Thanks for the info. If you remember anything else, Shira, no matter how small just post it.

Shira--please repost more than once a year. I really want this book to be found so that I can read it too. :o) Every 60 days or so would be good, and those of us who have been following this thread in the hopes of finding the book too will be very grateful.

message 28: by SparksofEmber (new)

SparksofEmber | 957 comments Probably not but maybe Masquerading with the CEO?

message 29: by Shira (new)

Shira Friedman | 22 comments Thanks everyone! Sorry for not re-posting more often :)

message 30: by Shira (new)

Shira Friedman | 22 comments It couldn't be Masquerading with the CEO, since the book had to have been published 2013 at the latest, but thanks, Sparks!
I actually found a book on Harlequin that I thought could be it (Once Upon a Holiday), but there were just enough contradictory details that it couldn't be the same book I've been looking for. It was very close, though.
