Have you read NOS4A2 by Joe Hill yet? It's also pretty amazing. And there are tie-ins between the two novels! I've always loved that aspect of Stephen King's fictional universe. It's one of my favorite things about him as an author.

message 28: by Ottilie (new)

Ottilie (ottilie_weber) | 3 comments Currently I'm reading Forever Fae (Forever Fae, #1) by L.P. Dover

message 29: by [deleted user] (new)

@Sara

No, but I want to read NOS4A2. Joe Hill is a favorite author of mine. Tie-ins? Cool! There are tie-ins with The Shining in Dr. Sleep.

Tanjlisa Marie (tanjlisamarie) | 234 comments Reading The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich A History of Nazi Germany by William L. Shirer Have always been interested how an entire country could go along with exterminating over five million people!!!

message 31: by Ed (new)

Ed Wagemann (edwagemann) | 1013 comments Well a few years ago we saw how a country could go along with exterminating nearly a million Iraqis...its basically fear and ignorance spread by people who are motivated by greed and power.

The last group posts, from a month ago. Anybody still around?

message 33: by Ed (new)

Ed Wagemann (edwagemann) | 1013 comments Hi, I'm still here. This place is pretty dead though.
I just finished reading Me, the Mob and The Music about Tommy James and Morris Levy. I read that Martin Scorcese is interested in making it into a movie.

message 35: by Carol (new)

Carol I'm halfway through Oddball Michigan by Jerome Pohlen. Great reading for yoopers and those of us (trolls) living below the bridge.

Laugh out loud funny!!

Ed Wagemann (edwagemann) | 1013 comments Jim Rogatis's Staring At Sound, is the story of the Flaming Lips. Rogatis does adequate research, but he's not much of a writer. Still the band is interesting enough to make this an interesting read.

message 37: by Anne (new)

Anne Moss | 36 comments I'm reading a memoir by Carrie Brownstein of Sleater-kinney fame. Its very self-involved and slow... Not sure if I can finish it.

message 38: by Ed (new)

Ed Wagemann (edwagemann) | 1013 comments Some guy I talk with on Facebook sent me his self-published novel, so I'm reading that. The problem is that I only read books - this was sent to me electronically - so its slow going right now.

message 39: by Ed (new)

Ed Wagemann (edwagemann) | 1013 comments I’m reading a biography on CCR right now called “A song for everyone”. It’s pretty mediocre. It does that thing where it lists pop culture and political events at the beginning of chapters to try to put the subjects story in historical context. A little of that is fine, but at times it can be overdone - which is what is going on in this book. I’m still reading it though.

Ed Wagemann (edwagemann) | 1013 comments Finished a biography on Nelson Algren, now I'm starting Algren's short book, City On the Make
