SOLVED. A rainbow in my pocket? [s]

I don't know the authors name, or the actual titile of the book, but I think that the title of the book (at least the title of one of the short stories int he book) is A "Rainbow in My Pocket and Other Short Tales"
It's a book of short stories that are like modern fairy tales. One of the stories is about a princess who is cursed with talking hair because she cuts the whiskers off a cat. Another one is about the tooth fairy. there's one about a boy who has a rainbow that he can make wishes with and he keeps it in his pocket. It's geared toward late elementary/middle school and there are illustrations in the book.
Help! This is driving me crazy!

Nevermind!! It's called "The Last Slice of Rainbow" by Joan Aiken. I just started sifting through Amazon and found it after 15 pages.

I've loved Joan Aiken since Mrs. Douglas read The Wolves of Willoughby Chase out loud to us in fifth grade. I've never read this book. I'll remedy that soon...
