I hated the book, but I'd still go see it. And I'm curious. There is talk of it, but has anyone made it official?

Jocelyn All i've got to say is: SHAME ON YOU!

Gracie one, how can you hate this book? it's a great book. and two, i think they are making it into a movie.

Zak I didn't like the start of the first book but it grew on me towards the end. I did really like Prodigy though :) Do you know who bought the movie rights?

Gracie uh i don't does anyone else?

Gracie thanks!

Okay, I'll tell you why I hated this book.

First of all, the storyline. BORING!! Too rushed. Then the characters? Day was captured way too quickly. I hadn't even gotten to connect with him yet! June was just weird.

Everything just felt forced and I was going ohh... Okay, so it's only half way thru and the main guys defeated.. Okay??? Well that sucks. Can't be bothered picking this up again.

The only thing I liked was Tess and Thomas... And I didn't even finish the book.

You should give Prodigy a try. It blew the rooftop off Legend :)

Thanks, but I think I'll pass.

And how many of you think this book will actually make for a good movie?

I think it will be great a movie but it all depends on the screenplay, the actors, the director etc. But no one can really say it will be good until the final product comes out. Naturally when you read a book you see it like a movie in your head so any book has the potential to be a good film but it just so happens that a lot just aren’t executed well. Just take a movie like The Avengers, which I thought was awesome but anyways who would have thought that a comic book about a man who makes an iron suit, a super soldier, a demi god, and master assassins would translate so well on screen? Again it has to do with the actors, director and writer, etc. We’ll just have to wait and hope they take Legend seriously enough to make it good.

Ilana i'm on the fence about this one as a movie. i think that there's merit here since you have 2 different lives converging and then going their separate ways and then finding each other again. what i'm fearful of though if this DOES get optioned into a movie, is that maybe we're being a bit over loaded with dystopian type movies right now and either the expectations will be too high or there won't be enough interest once it's relatively far down the path and it won't get produced. it's a double edged sword, but i know that it would be a good thing to at least consider. day and june make for a GREAT dynamic and prodigy has a lot of action that would definitely make for a good film experience

That's true what you said about all the dystopian sci-fi books being made into movies. There are a LOT more coming out now

kirstin ✿ I don't understand how you got bored with this one. It's action-packed, and the two main protagonists are both genius.

Amanda I think they are going to make it because in a recent interview with Marie Lu she said they had finished the script and now looking for a director. So that means once they find him/her the casting process will begin. So fingers crossed :D

Hannah How can people say that they hated the book? I thought that it was amazing. Can't wait for the film!

Gracie @hannah
Me too!!!!

Abby I'm a little confused by all the comments . . . Are they in the process of making a film from the book? Or not?

Haley They're definitely making this a movie. It's just barely getting started though so it'll be a while.

Garretts I hope they make it a movie I loved this movie. It was awesome#Legend

Dilara Croft um this is one of the best books ever???

Haajar I would love love love for this trilogy to become a movie it'll be a great action/romance movie if produced properly and portrayed by the actors as well. The ending of Champion was AMAZING and I just couldnt put the book down I finished the entire trilogy in 3 days thats how good it was (for me anyways)

Muffins Just one question- who the heck are they going to get to be Day??
Im pretty sure no one who looks remotely like him exists yet

Racheal Howard Personally, I think this book would be a great anime, just because the characters are so young and I really don't want the movie to flop like City of Bones did, because majority of the people that will see the movie are the people that read the books and it might not appeal to the older audiences. But still very excited for the movie. This trilogy is ammaazziinnngggg.

omigosh i soo agree with that
i would make an amazing anime but not many people actually like or even about anime (unfortunately)
and sadly enough people who might've even loved the series could
think of it as kiddish. the plot is amazing anyway and i don't see why adults wouldn't like
eg- the hunger games katniss and peeta were both 16 based on the book
