"What?" Beven asked concerned, hoping she would stay awake

"I don't know." Hayden whispered. "The lights are dark." she commented, not really awake, kind of half between sleep and consciousness.
"Lights.." Beven whispered to herself... "Hayden, wake up." she coaxed
Hayden whimpered. "The fire is cold." she whispered.
Beven raised an eyebrow, confused, "What?"
Hayden's eyes flew open. "Oh my goldfish." she mumbled. "I have gone completely insane." she said, rubbing her head.
Beven rubbed her shoulder, comforting her. Knowing that Hayden would explain when she gathered her thoughts
"I'm losing my mind...." Hayden grumbled. "That's the only possible answer..."
Beven frowned, puzzled, and shrugged.
Hayden bit her lip. "Hold out your hand." she commanded.
"No way. This is a dream. A cruel trick of nature." Hayden bit her lip.
"What is?" Beven asked, competely lost
"I can see you." Hayden said simply. "In my head."
Beven stared shocked, at Hayden. "Really? What do I look like to you?"
Hayden stared for a moment. She could have her eyes closed and still see, so she knew it was probably all in her head. She'd still enjoy it while she had it. "You're actually really pretty. Brown hair, and it's really long. Its pretty..." Hayden continued, and then the image vanished. She was left blind again.
Beven smiled, she was right, at least about the brown hair... "Wow Hayden, thats amazing!"
"That's gone." Hayden mumbled. "I knew it was a cruel twisted joke. Nice try, dad. Youre not winning me back."
Beven laid a hand on Hayden's arm, reassuringly
Hayden tensed and then relaxed, realizing it was just Beven. "That really is twisted."
Beven nodded, "Ya, Im sorry." she said
Hayden shook her head. "Don't be. I'll live." Hayden wasn't even going to bother with tears anymore.
Beven nodded and took out some food that Jade brought them, "Hungery?" Beven sure was
Hayden shook her head. "I ate yesterday, didn't I?"
"A granola bar, you need more that that." insisted Beven
Hayden shook her head. "Not really. I don't get hungry."
Beven shrugged, "Ok, if you say so." she stared rummaging around the bag and pulled out an apple, eating it hungerly
Hayden leaned against the wall, thinking about her dream. Light is dark. Fire is cold. What was that supposed to mean?
Beven bit into her apple, it was a little bruised, but she ate it without noticing
Hayden bit her lip, lost in thought.
"You wanna walk around, find out where exactly we are. Maybe get a map and find out where we should go next?" Beven asked Hayden
"Sure." Hayden said, standing up tiredly and brushing off her jeans. "I'll be right back." she said, scurrying down the alley.
Beven watched her leave, questioningly. She stood up and peeked in the tents to tell the others where they were going
Hayden stood on the street perpendicular to the alley, where she had left. She was waiting for Beven. Two girls walking out of the same dark alley at the same time was asking for trouble. She waited patiently.
Beven lit a little fire to light the way just a little. If someone came by, they would think it was just a candle
Hayden waited patiently. She listened very carefully to her surroundings. She heard every footstep. Every conversation.
Hayden!!!!!!"Kevins eyes went wide he flew down to them,"Hayden where is ur father?"
Hayden bit her lip. "My father?" she asked in a small voice. Time to come clean?
"Hopefully, long gone." Hayden answered. "I have to tell you something... please don't hate me." apparently it was time to come clean.
Hayden bit her lip. "Well, let me start from the beginning." she leaned against the wall. "I've been blind for the last ten years. I've never wanted anything but to see again. Never wanted a family. Never wanted to be free. Just to see. So when the school offered me my sight back on a silver platter with no downsides, I took it in an instant. Then they told me I couldn't back out. Later, they told me the plan. They said they'd try to get my sight back if I betrayed you guys. But I didn't want to. So I went with it long enough to get some valuable information. And I put my foot down today. I'm a traitor. Sorry." she mumbled, her eyes downcast and unfocused.
After hearing everything he punched the awl shattering it,"Those sick bastards!!!"(sorry for language)
"What?" Hayden asked. "So you don't hate me?"
(a lot of stuff I will be there hold on)"No its that stupid school come on we are going back to hq now."extends his wings and flew back
HQ? Hayden thought. Since when do we have a Head quarters?
As they got there Kevin looked around, "Snow where are u?"
Snow knew the voice and jump on his back "Here I am!"
"Good I need to talk to u privately please?"
